In general, I use mine on a table, but I also use it on a chair sometimes. Make sure that the table where you display your attire is lower than the one where you would eat, or as you would sew. In terms of where I put mine, I move it around depending on what I am doing. It is important to me to have that part at eye level since I do detail work. I haven't had any luck with my adult size form, but I notice that it's not quite as easy to work with as my juvenile size. I do, however, like mine quite a bit.

A closet cleaning kit purchased on Poshmark for selling closet items. I use it exactly for what it was designed It is very light and perhaps a bit easy to knock over, but I have it near the corner of a guest room, so it looks good and is not in the way. Despite the purchase being a little pricey, I'm happy.
Essentially, I only needed a reasonably priced dress form so I could take pictures of my knitting. Since I'm not a seamstress, myself or anything of that nature, I don't need precise measurements. The items I wanted to order in this range in the past were unavailable for delivery to Hawaii, and when I went to the checkout, I got an error message. The fact that I found this one was extremely pleasing. I was able to assemble it very easily. Considering I just bought it 2 weeks ago, I am not too sure how durable it will be, but I'll see over time. My needs are simple, so I am sure this will stand up to daily use.
As well as being able to stitch things up, it is also a good material for creating items, since it is a good material for sticking a pin into. A very lightweight piece of equipment (like just a few pounds) that is easy to assemble. There was only one problem the rod for the stand was cracked where the screw part was, so I had to pull on it a little and use epoxy to fix it. However, I have had no problems with it. Also, the stand can be easily removed if you need to put pants or anything else on the stand, then put the stand back on again. It is great for the price! I tried to find used ones before I purchased this one, and they were still selling for $60-$80. The deal here is great it's worth over 100 dollars. There is just a delay in shipping.
When I used this to make a tree dress form, all my branches and decorations were able to hold the weight. This thing certainly stood up to my cat even when it was being played with. It's easy to assemble, shipping is fast, and the price is good.
A display case purchased for clothing. I opened the box, and saw that the stand had a 14" crack going up and that the side of the mannequin had been torn by what almost looked like a cat attacking it. A big rip was visible on the side of the torso, which was surrounded by claw marks. I don't know why I bought that it's garbage There are a few parts to this, so if any of them goes wrong the thing will be useless - A couple of defects were present. This is a Sharewin, and there are tons on Amazon that are more effective do not waste your time/money on it. You're not going to like it.
In addition to its ease of assembly and weight, I was pleased with how easy the mannequin was for me to transport. My plans are to use it to display knitted shawls and scarves that I want to sell online. It seems ideal for that purpose. Ideally, it would be great to be able to purchase an additional cover for the form in black so that the lighter colors on the shawls stand out.
I made an Oogie Boogie costume a few years ago and had no place to store it. As a result, it will be alot less work to fix the problems now that I can see what needs to be done. The height could be about an inch higher for me since I'm 5"8. Please accept my sincere thanks.
I'd recommend it to others who want something similar. As described, it is easy to move and works perfectly. There is a light feeling to the torso because it appears to be made of foam. Because of this, it's fragile. I'm a careful user so I get by with it.
