It was basically a crochet hook with a plastic wrap around the handle. The "hook" was so short that the elastic didn't even get pulled through. It probably wouldn't have pulled through unless you tied a loop around it, but I didn't want to waste time, so I just hooked the elastic and pulled. There isn't enough "hook" in this. I had to give it back to them. I gave it a three-star rating because it was simple to use, but it didn't do the job.
I needed a way for each person to adjust the elastic around their ears while making masks for my family, and this was just what I needed! I thread the ear elastic through these small tubes, and each person can adjust their straps to their liking; I've washed the masks several times with no problems. This is an excellent item.
They're made of silicone, not hard plastic, as I was afraid they'd be. Some advice Invest in a loop turner or install cord lock with string and a needle. These actually work really well on thicker strings made of fabric strips and elastic cord, and they don't irritate the back of your ears or give you a headache while wearing a mask.
The elastic ear loops are frequently too long for me to fit into a mask, and tying a knot prevents easy adjustments- Masks, on the other hand, are non-removable. They were otherwise useless until I ordered this product, which easily attaches to the cord with the included tool and allows adjustments not only to shorten but also to manipulate the upper and lower portions to pull sides so they lay flat and snug against my cheeks.
If you're having trouble finding masks that fit your kids, these are a great place to start.
I wish I had ordered the balls sooner because they were simple to attach to the masks. Because I have enough balls to fix all of my mask, I wouldn't have any pain behind my ears. I expect the United States to continue to wear masks for some time, so I want to be prepared.
These were used to make the earloops on children's masks more secure. Everything is in order. It took me a few seconds to figure out how to put the stopper on because it came with crochet hooks. First, attach the stopper to the crochet hook, then attach the earloop to the bent tip of the hook. Pull it tight and then straight through the stopper.
These are ideal for tightening the fit of a mask by shortening the elastic. It's simple to thread the enclosed hook through the piece, grab a loop of elastic, and pull it all the way through. Elastic stretches with use, so these are useful for readjusting the fit.
