These aren't true size 15 bobbins. I had been using the three bobbins that came with my new Singer Quantam Stylist 9960 machine, but I needed a different color and pulled one of these out. My thread tension was off after using one of these bobbins, and my automatic thread cutter couldn't cut the bobbin thread anymore. My husband took out his digital caliper and discovered that there was a height difference that could not be seen by looking. If you require a size 15 bobbin, do not purchase these.
I recommend this product because it is a good value for the money, and the class 15 bobbins fit perfectly in my Singer Heavy Duty 4423.
These are ideal for use with my Singer Quantum 9960 sewing machine!.
However, they are a little more fragile than OEM bobbins. TL; The title reads "DR. " br>br>These bobbins work well with my Singer Heavy Duty 4432 sewing machine, and they're slightly taller than the bobbins that came with it (11 inches). Approx. 5mm vs. 3mm), but these bobbins, in my experience, perform identically to the originals. It is possible that your results will differ. br>br>With regard to the bobbins' durability: I couldn't break or warp one with my bare hands on purpose, but I did break one by stepping on it accidentally. An original Singer class 15 transparent bobbin, for comparison, deformed but did not break when stepped on. Based on my limited experience, I believe that, while more fragile than Singer's original class 15 bobbins, these aftermarket bobbins will most likely withstand normal use. Treat them with respect (i. e. Don't be an idiot like me (not even when it comes to science) and you'll be fine. br>br>At the moment, I'm satisfied with my purchase. I'll update this review if I encounter any issues while sewing with these.
Almost everyone in my family who sews has received these as gifts or has been recommended them by me. When quilting (as my mother does) or sewing clothes (as I do), having bobbins on hand is a must. br>br>I purchased some bobbin holders for myself, each holding 25 bobbins, and I purchased several bags of these. Because I was new to sewing, one of the holders came with very cheap bobbins, and I quickly learned the difference. The others had barba on them from the dyes failing to cut out the pieces properly, and they were made of brittel plastic. br>These are smooth all the way around and don't snag my thread; they're a perfect match for both my singer tradition and singer heavy duty. When I receive new color fabrics and need new color bobbins, I will purchase more.
These are class 15 bobbins, which I use in my Singer Quantum 9960 sewing machine. They're fantastic, and I'll be ordering more of them.
I'm excited to load all 20 and get started because the intro video recommended size 15 plastic bobbins. This is ideal. Now it's up to me to make good use of them!.
I discovered that I could use these a couple of times before experiencing issues with skipped stitches and jamming. My problems vanished after I switched back to the bobbins that came with my machine. What I thought was saving me money ended up costing me a lot of money in repairs to my machine, so it wasn't worth it.
