I'd never done anything like this before, so I bought it as an add-on when I realized the kit I bought didn't include the tools I needed. I, too, was perplexed by the sizing difference. This arrived in the condition depicted (with the exception of the pens and another piece)- However, the fabric was torn apart because of the enormous holes. I did some research and discovered that it's made of much heavier thread and fabric, not the embroidery floss and linen that came with my kit. br>As a result, I placed a second order. br>If I ever try this again, I guess I'll have all the tools I need.
For beginners, this was an excellent set. However, in addition to the larger punch needles, I wish they included a smaller punch needle.
Fabric is nice, the handles are sturdy, and there are plenty of materials to get started with.
I'm a beginner who learns by watching YouTube videos, but I'm pretty sure the needle holes are way too big for this cloth. Why do they sell them together if they don't work together? The yarn doesn't stay, even when I hold it from behind each time. Idk. Either the materials aren't meant to be used together, or the fabric is of poor quality with little elasticity.
I purchased this kit because I am a beginner and wanted to give it a try. I like that it came in a container to store all of the items, and the cloth is a good size to get started with. To keep it in place, you'll need your own rings or frame, which I already had.
The punch needles included in the kit are well-made and simple to use. The monk cloth appeared to be suitable for one of my projects, but when I stretched it out on a frame, the ends unraveled, which was a disappointment.
