Questions & Answers
Wool roving would make a great stuffing for a doll bed mattress, in my opinion! br>It's fluffy but firm, and you can make it as compact as you want. br>I don't think I'd be concerned about someone being allergic to it because it wouldn't be in direct contact with the skin if it were contained within a doll mattress. br>A doll mattress is unlikely to need washing, but if you do, you can make one with a zipper so you can remove the stuffing before washing the cover. If you have felting needles, you can feel it a little to compress the fibers a little before hand.br>It would also keep the dolly very warm!
When I spin it, it has a squeaky texture. I've never used wool like this before. I would have assumed it wasn't wool if they hadn't said so. However, there is no way of knowing for sure.
No, the pink isn't a good choice for skin tones.
Thank you very much for your inquiry, my friend. Our products can be spun, but needle felting is what we recommend.

I spent $75 on six orders of this yarn and could have just as easily thrown it away. Because they sell yarn by weight, each of these "balls" of yarn had a bunch of useless shreds in the middle to make the overall ball look bigger and heavier. Even with gentle hand knitting, the little bit of yarn that was actually usable kept breaking off. Stacks of shreds can be seen, which are clearly intended to make the product appear larger and heavier than it was in the photos. I also included a few images of the continuous tears and breaks. In the end, I didn't have enough usable yarn to make anything, so I'll have to start over and spend a lot more money. However, I will never buy from this untrustworthy seller again and will conduct extensive research into customer reviews before placing an order with another seller. That was my mistake because this was the only yarn I could find that would arrive before Christmas, and my mother was desperate for me to make her a blanket for Christmas, so I didn't bother reading the reviews. I wouldn't have been so harsh if one or two of the orders had been defective, but because every single one of the six orders was of this quality, it was clear that the company did this on purpose to save money and deceive the buyer. I gave it one star because you have to give something at least one star, and the color was exactly what it should have been.
This is wool roving, which works well for needle felting. I'm not sure the negative reviewer understood the difference between roving and yarn, and I'm even wondering if she reviewed the wrong seller and ordered from someone else. I received two boxes, which are both full and abundant. It was all wool, with no packing or extras to add to the weight. I chose the blue and a tan brown, both of which are suitable for animals and skin tones. Because it's fine and soft, it's not the best "core" wool for a needle felting project; however, it does bind better. However, it is of excellent quality and softness, and it is offered at a very reasonable price.
Three 1 pound bags were purchased. this roving roving roving roving roving roving rov (white, black, and brown) I'm new to needle felting and needed a large quantity of a few colors to practice with, and these were a good deal compared to others that cost $30 - $40. The same weight will set you back $50. I haven't gotten to the middle of the balls to see if they have shreds in the middle like another buyer claimed hers did, but since I'm needle felting rather than knitting, it wouldn't be a big deal. In terms of ripping, how do you go about it? So far, I haven't had any issues with that; in fact, when I'm trying to tear bits off for felting, I've had a lot of trouble NOT getting it to rip. I don't know anything about knitting and even less about felting, but I've had no problems with it when I've just bought it to needle felt. It fits snugly and comfortably, and I've had a lot of fun with it thus far. My only gripe is that I'd like to see a wider range of colors because I'd like to buy more of this roving in the 1 pound size. If they had a wider range of colors to choose from, they would be of a larger size.
To be honest, the price tag should have told me something. I tried to spin with it but couldn't get it to work; it doesn't feel like wool at all and I'm pretty sure it's a synthetic material. I'll keep it for weaving on the loom, but I wouldn't buy it for spinning again.
I would purchase this item again.
I should have purchased roving from one of my regular fiber sources, but the price drew me in. I'm thinking about keeping it because I won't be spinning yarn with it.
This "natural" wool roving has a rough texture and isn't particularly soft. I also looked around and asked my children if anyone had farted as soon as I opened it. It was, in fact, the wool that caused the problem. It smells like someone farted into the bag after eating five jars of garlic. Thank you, but no thanks; I've never sealed a package so quickly.
82oz. It appears to be beautiful in general. I don't know enough about wool to know whether it's "real" or "synthetic," but it's soft, though not as soft as other wool I've bought. br>br>However, I couldn't give it five stars because it wasn't the advertised eight. 82oz. It was 8. 75 oz was a close call, but it was close! (It was 9 oz when I weighed it in the bag it was sealed in, but that's not the same as 8. ) Wool weighing 82 oz. 😉).
