Yes, in theory, but it is not something I would recommend. This roving is intended for spinning and felting, and it may not be a single continuous piece.
It is light and the strands are very silky, so it depends on the texture you're looking for. It's perfect for a mermaid doll, in my opinion! If the doll is for a child who will play with it, I would not recommend it.
You can, but this is a little more upscale than you require. Top is more processed than non-top in that all of the fibres are going in the same direction and there is far less side to side webbing. roving at its best People who spin yarn can benefit from this process. Because felting is all about side-to-side webbing, the extra processing isn't required. This, on the other hand, still has the webbing and isn't impossible to use. You can use any type of wool, but I'd recommend non-absorbent wool. A batt or a top roving (which is thicker).

This fiber appeals to me. It's easy to spin and can be spun thick or thin, making it ideal for beginners. My yarn is fairly finely spun, triple plied, and crocheted into a blanket. Because of the hand-spun inconsistency, it will be one-of-a-kind and not perfectly uniform. It will, however, be one-of-a-kind - and warm! I adore this company, and I think it's fantastic that their products are made in my home state! br>Their wool is beautifully combed smooth and packaged very well. I'm a big fan of the color schemes they've come up with. WORTH BUYING ALL THE WAY AROUND! And I'll buy from you again and again.
They also had purple merino and silk blend roving, which I purchased. I've been drop spinning the fibers and I'm really pleased with how the yarn is turning out. Also, I believe the price for what I received was very reasonable, and I will be purchasing more in the future.
It all came together beautifully. It produced beautiful colors, which I adored. br>br>FWIW, with about 18 yards left over, this spun and double plied yarn was enough for a woven 6'x7" scarf.
I'm a beginner when it comes to spinning my own yarn. I'm having a lot of fun with this yarn because it's easy to spin and crochet with.
