When I opened it, it definitely smelled like sheep, but not in a way that bothered me. My allergy was the thing that bothered me the most. Fragrance chemicals, which are commonly found in laundry detergent and soap, cause me to have an allergic reaction. (For example, Cinnamic aldehyde and Cocamidopropyl betaine). I'll have to return the wool, unfortunately. br>It appeared springy, clean, and white, and it was a nice looking wool.
While this fiber is suitable for the breed, it has a strong sheep-like odor. Processed top or roving that stinks like this is unusual for me. After I spin it, I'm sure I'll have to wash it.
This was purchased for the purpose of rolling dreadlocks. Once this was wet, I was blown away by how well it bound. Also, the dye tint was quickly and easily absorbed. This is something I'd like to order again in the future.
On my needle felting projects, I like to use this wool as my core. It's a fantastic deal and it feels fantastic!.
It's a soft, natural material that's also simple to work with.
The roving from Revolution Fibers is beautifully combed and very easy to draft and spin, as it always is.
It's a soft, easy-to-work-with material. I believe it is a little on the pricey side.
