It would be nice if it were 2 inches.
This is not as soft and pliable as I was expecting it to be more dense and thicker but it is less dense. There is a strong bond between the wool and paper, but the paper peels If you want to cut it, you can My knife is the same one I used earlier.
Apparently they do, but I have also tried other brands, and they all seem to have fibers glued I find that it's easy to clean, but I do get some fibers that stick to it. All I have to do is pick and pull out the leaves.
This foam is similar to the foam in seat cushions. As soon as you release it, it returns to its original shape.

Rather than forming a firm surface, the wool sticks to the foam rather than firming. So much of it sticks to it that a chuck of foam came up and got tangled in the wool I was working with while felting. This has never happened with any other foam pad I have used. The reviews gave this a high rating and I thought it would be better.
Using this pad, it is impossible to felt. The larger size of it is what I really liked so I hoped that it would have worked better for me. As a result, the wool begins to felt into the pad immediately, causing it to appear fuzzy throughout.
This pad is one of my most frequently used items. The app is not fancy, but it does its job. However, you will need to practice. In spite of being just a piece of foam, it can take some time to get the hang of it. It must be cleaned every time you finish with a color, otherwise it can be a mess and the wool on the mat will mix with the wool from the previous color you worked on. It is easy to use, good value, and you don't have to pull off any excess wool. It works but doesn't have any frills.
But this pad is fabulous! It would be nice if I would figure out to not stab my fingers when I'm bending over!.
My experience with the foam was that it was quite Felt like it worked great - Initially, I had no problems felting wool. Then, after two weeks, I noticed that the wool was getting stuck in the foam, causing it to come loose, then all wool fibers had to be refelted The felting process. To prevent this from happening, I had to make a removable cover for the foam.
It was a favorite of my dog, who loved to steal and shred it. In the past, it worked as a good work surface for felting, though. My preference would be for it to be thicker and more.
As a result, I was able to avoid losing things off the counter due to the gap between the stove and wall being sealed. There is only one thing I would have preferred, if I could have found this in a 1' by 3' piece instead of having to glue three.
There is nothing special about this. Packing material like this might be found in stores. The foam appears to be soft and of 4# density. I'm not sure that the $10 is worth it. My first thought was that Not at all.
