It's the perfect size for beginners to carry pencils in. I just watched a YouTube video explaining the procedure, and the girls were up and running in no time. After completion, I had hoped to move on to a bigger project, but they aren't yet ready to take on something more involved.

It was an okay starter project, but the color contrast on the pouches made it very difficult to read the stars

Although the latch hook instructions were not included with the kit, I would have liked to follow the directions and just count the squares. In its place, I received an instruction for how to stitch a unicorn. The stars were colored with a black magic marker so my 7 year old could see what the pattern was.
