If you don't want to be exposed to any polymers, Look around your home for a cushion, a throw pillow, or even an old, worn-out blanket to stuff with fil (stuffing). Get rid of any stuffed animals you no longer want. You can get the stuffing out of any old pillow or toy! I wouldn't recommend stuffing with the leftover felt. If you're going to put in the effort to make this lovely stocking, buy the best materials you can afford; if you really need some, I can send you a Ziploc bag full of premium stuffing! I always have a large supply because I buy it in bulk.
Yes, it is capable of holding small items. Bucilla stockings have been made for all of my relatives - sons and a daughter grandchildren, and in laws I've successfully stored soap, small hand lotion bottles, and other items.
The only thing I'd try is dry cleaning; there was a product I bought at the chemist that I can't recall the name of.
Snowflake sequins are not included in the Bucilla kit 86165.

My mother says: These Bucilla stockings were made for my children by my mother-in-law, so of course I had to make one for my first grandchild, and of course I chose an intense option. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, to tell you the truth. This took me two months to build, and it was well worth the effort in the end, but I should have chosen a less elaborate style if I had known better. There are a LOT of tiny applique pieces to assemble!.
The finished product was nice, but it needed to be tweaked because the instructions were a little confusing at times, and the felt to cut out (the children's list that Santa is holding) was printed backwards. A word of warning: For clarification, read the instructions first, then the cover photo. You'll have to redo some of your work if you don't because it won't match the picture if you don't. Some materials can't be used because they're frayed or there aren't enough of them; others can't be used because they're too frayed or there aren't enough of them. Perhaps the vendor should outsource the work instead of sending it to China. Their craftsmanship is of low quality. This is appalling!.
It takes a very long time! I've made three Buscilla kits so far. When I first started, I didn't know what I was doing. The instructions are sufficient in teaching you everything you need to know. My children adore the final product, which they will keep as a keepsake. Be aware that finishing these takes a long time. They must begin in September. By the end of October, the project should be completed in time for Christmas. It's slow and relaxing work, but don't expect to finish it in a couple of weeks. That is, unless you want to do something else with your time!.
These aren't difficult to make, but they do necessitate some sewing experience. machine embroidery This is something I made for my children. I'm going to make them for my grandchildren now. Because the kits are becoming more difficult to come by, I purchased a few extras to have on hand. As I await the arrival of new grandbabies, I continue to work!! Christmas is a big deal in our house. A large part of it is stockings. My home is ALWAYS immaculately decorated! I adore how lovely these are; however, they will take some time to complete. patience.
This is my third kit, and each one turns out beautifully. I didn't like the name tag, so I glued a piece of white felt to the top and added the name that way.
This was purchased for the purpose of making a gift for my newborn daughter. However, I have no idea how I'll complete this before Christmas. It's a nightmare of a system! br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I was able to complete this before Christmas 2019, despite the fact that it took me until the day before we left for our vacation. I'll be the first to admit that this was a lot of work, but the end result was well worth it. Not that it should have mattered, but I was a kid who would have loved one of these, so I wanted to make one for my daughter. I'm coming back to this review because I'm thinking about making another bucilla kit for my beloved wife (with a different design).
Over the years, I've purchased this kit, as well as a few other Bucilla Christmas stocking kits. Stockings are always simple to make with high-quality materials and simple instructions. With kits, I've never had a problem.
This stocking for my grandson was a lot of fun to make. It's not a quick project, so don't rush it. I had to go out and purchase sequin needles as well as a large supply of needle threaders. In a pin cushion, I had no less than six different needles threaded at the same time. I didn't need the chennelle thing, whatever that is, because I used a tooth pic for the paint brush. It's way cuter in person than you can imagine, and I made two of them, one of which had a Christmas tree on it. I began it as a way to occupy my mind and hands after quitting smoking. It'll be six months in a week's time. Hurray.
