It's perfect for him, and the stocking is stunning. This is my third stocking stocking; I just ordered another one today and plan to continue doing so; I'm completely addicted. With each stocking, I become faster, and I always line them and attach the Bucilla label to the back; Amazon also sells them. I think the kits are good; some of the felt pieces are thin, but I always have extra felt on hand in case I need to change a color. I worked on this kit for about two weeks, putting in a few hours each day. My daughter-in-law has given me two pairs of stockings to sew for her grandchildren. It's a fantastic project to work on during this pandemic because it gives me something creative to do while I'm stuck at home.
Because they don't know the baby's name yet, I haven't been able to make it. And, as you can see, the banner is placed first, but I've completed well over 50 stockings, all of which were fantastic. I'm a big fan of Bucilla's stuff.
The stocking was exactly as described and came in its original factory packaging, which had not been opened. We received it days ahead of schedule and for less money than we would have paid on our usual site.

Bucilla kits are consistently of high quality. I've finished a lot of projects. I'm excited to get started on this.
The number of stockings with the pattern printed on them is extremely limited. It's very thin in some places.
