This is a fantastic embroidery floss grab bag. I got a nice assortment of colors with no duplicates. Furthermore, I did not receive every numerical skein, so I anticipate that each purchase will yield something new and exciting. There's a color for every project, from pale to vibrant, and everything in between, and I'll be buying more! "YES, THESE ARE NUMBERED!" br>br>And for the record, "YES, THESE ARE NUMBERED!" By the bardcode, they're on the "back. " They're easy to read, and the print is fairly large for such a small label.
They are far superior to for the price. This is an incredible fiber. They are far superior to DMC in terms of stitching quality for the money. Granted, you won't have the same color selection as DMC, but it'll suffice for simple projects like holiday ornaments and paintings. This is something I'm going to order again in the future. The fiber has a silky feel to it and is easy to stitch with. The level of quality astounds me.
I wanted to start stitching, so I bought this set of floss. Given that a single skein of yarn costs around 50c at Michael's, this set was fantastic value; just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. br>br>The color palette is adequate; however, there are many dull greens/yellows/taupes. ey colors, with a few brights thrown in for good measure. Although the skeins are numbered, they do not follow the DMC system. However, even as a beginner, I've been able to fairly closely match colors in patterns, and I'm glad I'm saving so much money. The quality is quite good: br>br> I'll be able to separate the threads for cross-stitching. Stitching is fairly simple, and there is very little knotting or flaring as I sew. I've since purchased a few DMC skeins in the colors I require, and I've noticed that DMC floss is thinner and silkier than the floss included in this set. Although there isn't much of a difference, DMC floss is clearly superior. br>br>I'm glad I bought this set, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to start collecting colors.
It was exactly what I needed; there were a few repetitions, but they weren't too bothersome. And, yes, you will not receive every color in the world, so if you require 350 but do not receive it, substitute 351 or 349. The two appear to be identical, so this was a fantastic purchase.
To be honest, these colors aren't particularly vibrant, but the image is accurate. I needed them because I didn't want bright colors; instead, I wanted muted colors like these. There is only one white and one black, but there are plenty of pinks, greens, and blues to work with. There are also a lot of different shades of brown, tan, and goldish colors, but I like to do Celtic art in my needlework, so they work for me. The greens are great for stem work and leaves, but they won't work well for nursery art or colorful flower gardens. The browns would look great in landscapes or as part of the new trend of decorating the gift recipient's home for wedding gifts. The quality is comparable to what you would expect from a DIY kit. Use short strands to avoid tangling. There is a sheen to them.
Amazing value for money; I like the variety of colors; however, there are more ugly green colors than cute green colors, which is to be expected. br>br>The only reason I gave it four stars is because the black thread was cut and tied in a knot while I was working on it.
This string is AMAZING for the price; my sister and I were looking for the cheapest string to make bracelets with, and I'm glad we went with this one. The string is long, and there are many different colors on it. If you're looking for a simple string, this is the one to go with. The only issue is that when you pull it out, the string gets tangled, but this is likely to happen with any brand. Overall, I would highly recommend!.
I purchased this set because I was new to embroidery and wanted a large variety of colors. This is excellent value for money, but you get what you pay for! When trying to thread the floss, some of it becomes very fuzzy or unravels, making it difficult to work with. You can tell the difference in appearance when compared to DMC floss on a spool (it's not as shiny, smooth, or soft). I wouldn't use it for clothes that will be washed, but it's perfect for hoops and other similar items!.
