Selected User Reviews For Stoney Creek Autumn in The Village Book
Published by Stoney Creek Collection, Inc. in 2010, this pattern book contains cross stitch patterns. I'm a graduate of Calvin College (Grand Rapids, Michigan). A manufacturer and distributor of cross stitch patterns, kits, and accessories, Stoney Creek is located in the United States. AUTUMN IN THE VILLAGE is Book 417 in the Seasons in the Village series, and is the fourth installment in the The four books in the collection have all been purchased by me and I have written similar reviews for each. In addition to the cover and front and back pages, the book has eight pages. Throughout the book, there is a pattern of storefronts arranged along a street, and the pattern itself extends over three pages. Depending on how big you want your design to be, you can stitch the entire street scene or even individual storefronts. Neither of these books is intended for beginners. The cross stitches in these designs are counted (i. e. In order to determine the stitch run length, you count the fabric weave. A constant change in color is evident in (a) and (b). There is no thread or base fabric included in the package. To sew this pattern, you will need to buy various thread colors and the base fabric using the color conversion chart in the book. Most likely, you will want to use fabric with large weave "squares" that can easily be counted, such as Aida. It is possible, to an extent, to control the size of the pattern by determining the square count per inch of the fabric. An Aida fabric of 14 cm squares per inch is 14 cm wide. As a result, the smaller the finished design will be the bigger the squares per inch are. Before starting the design on a fabric that is this intricate, I would recommend marking grid lines on the fabric. A color maker or loosely threaded embroidery needle should be used for this. Whenever you use thread, make sure you get rid of the marker thread as you stitch so that it doesn't get woven into the The pattern may also be photocopied for personal use by you so that you may stitch it. Stoney Creek grants you their express permission to do so. If you are going to be working from the three pattern pages, I recommend making a photocopy of each and taping them together so that they form a single pattern that is easily viewed. Counted cross stitch patterns that are large, with intermediate to advanced level work are hard to find. This is a five-star stitch pattern that you should seriously consider.
The patterns looked interesting, so I decided to buy them as my first purchase in getting back into cross stitch. Even though patterns are lovely, I find them to be a bit fussy. I spend a lot of time switching colors. You might want to keep these for another.
