Questions & Answers

Is there everything I'll need in this kit to finish the project? Is it possible to have all threads? Kittens in a Row Counted Cross Stitch Kit ?

Yes, but you'll need to purchase your own fabric. The fabric included in the kit is almost the same color as a large portion of the stitching on the top of the stocking. As a result, you can't see the stitching, and stitching it is a nightmare due to the fabric's blend.

I'd like to know if the pattern is black. ?

The black and white pattern is printed on the fabric.

Why do you say it's pre-finished when it says it comes with backing material on the one below?

Instructions are included with the backing material. It's fairly simple to accomplish.

Is this an appropriate starter kit?

This kit is required to have a medium/high level of proficiency, but with practice and patience, it can be achieved by anyone!

This is not a game for beginners
4/5

A difficult lesson has been learned. If you've never crossed the border before, this is a good place to start. If you've never stitched before, you should first determine whether the product you're buying is rated as "Easy," "Moderately Hard," or "Bloody Impossible. " 'If you don't, you might end up with a blank form and a list of incomprehensible instructions. ' (If you're a beginner, this is a good place to start. ) But I'm not giving up. It'll keep me going until the Pandemic of 2020. I've had to rip out nearly as many stitches as I've put in, and I still haven't mastered the French Knot. However, as I previously stated, it keeps me occupied while the siege is underway. Is there anyone else out there who is going batshoot crazy? Cross-stitching became a hobby for me! CROSS STITCHING IS AN EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTRE I suffer from number dyslexia. This project was not for those who have trouble counting. I had no idea the 'canvas' was going to be empty. Even so, I'm hell-bent on finishing the damned beast, even if it means killing myself. br>br>Advice to newbies desperate for something to do: if you're going to try cross stitch (against my advice), start with a simple pattern. Don't get me wrong: this is lovely. However, this is not for the faint of heart. br>br>In addition, the fabric is starchy and has slightly larger holes in each corner. You'd think that making it easier to count would be a good thing. You'd be mistaken. My only concern is that I've used up a lot of the yarn due to mistakes, and I've had to order more thread just to finish stitching off the project. On a white background, there are several white tea cups. I'm afraid I'm going to lose my sight as a result of this. People, please wish me luck. br>br> And remember to keep yourself safe while you're out there.

The stocking is lovely, but the floss is cheap
4/5

I'd give this kit five stars if it weren't for the horrible floss. It took me a long time to make because the pattern is very intricate and has a lot of color changes. I hadn't done any cross stitch in over a decade, and this was my first kit since returning to the hobby. I would estimate that it took me around 300 hours to complete. However, this was done over a period of several years. If I hadn't put it aside for so long between working on it, I'm sure it would have gone much faster. The floss, on the other hand, was the most frustrating aspect of this kit for me. If it had been of higher quality, I believe I would have saved a significant amount of time. As it was, the floss was constantly tangled in my hair, and it even broke a couple of times. I had to stop frequently to untangle the knots, and I had to rip out stitches several times to go back and undo knots on the back side that I hadn't noticed at the time. To put it mildly, it was extremely frustrating. However, the finished stocking was simple to put together thanks to clear instructions. I also went the extra mile and bought some iron-on backing to ensure that the threads stayed in place so that the piece would last for years. Overall, I love the stocking and am very pleased with the outcome. It turned out to have slightly less room inside than I expected, but it's still a good size. My daughter's matching one is already in the works. However, if you're in a hurry, I recommend purchasing your own high-quality floss rather than using the kit's cheap floss.

This is a fantastic pattern with a lot of detail
4/5

I bought this kit because the pattern had sentimental value for me, and I was willing to work with whatever it came with. This pattern is fantastic and extremely detailed, to the point where I would only recommend it to someone with a high level of experience. In and of itself, the kit was a letdown. I needed to replace a few colors. One of the colors was incorrect; it was more of a different hue, and the black was of poor quality and dullness. The colors were close enough to dmc colors that I was able to replace them at my local hobby store, and there was enough floss in the kit to finish the project, despite the fact that the pattern was black and white. Due to the complexity of the stitch layout, I continued to use magnification. I'd buy another kit from this company, but keep in mind that you should double-check the quality and accuracy of all your colors and contents. It should also be noted that the needle was missing from my kit.

THERE IS A LOT OF THREAD
5/5

When I get a kit, I usually run out of thread and have to go to the craft store to find the exact color. This kit came with a lot of stuff. For each color, I have about two extra complete strands of thread. Which was a relief because I'd messed up a couple of times and had to undo the stitches. However, for my nephew, it turned out perfectly! I didn't do the red French knots on the Christmas tree because I'm terrible at them and already have a hard time with the others. However, I discovered that they aren't required by the tree. Overall, I enjoyed the project; it took me about 8 months to complete, but that was with a full-time job and online classes. Someone with more time on their hands will undoubtedly be able to complete it sooner. This is a kit that I strongly suggest! You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.

This is a fantastic project to keep you occupied
4/5

This cross stitch kit line appeals to me. This kit isn't as large or complicated as the others, but it's still a lot of fun to put together. I'm not sure I'll enjoy doing all of the over stitching, but we'll see. Only one of the colors has been used so far. I'm hoping I have enough of the color because when you get to the last third of the strand (doubled over), it starts to strip down too much and you end up with very little thread that's too thin to use. Maybe I should've soaked the canvas first to make it less stiff and rough. This kit is very nice in general.

It was well worth my time
4/5

Counter cross stitch with a lot of detail. It took me two years of on-and-off work to complete, but it was well worth it. Instead of using the cheap felt that came with it, I quilted some Christmas fabric and sewed it to my stocking. I ironed on some of the t-shirt fabric to make the cross stitch Aida part more stable. Before sewing everything together, make a shirt quilt backing (fusible interfacing). The floss is of low quality, which is to be expected when buying a kit. So I wouldn't get confused, I used a highlighter on the pattern to mark where I had already stitched. It's well worth it in the end. The pattern is lovely, and you can have a lot of fun customizing it.

Very attractive
3/5

But don't put your faith in the finished size; I ordered a frame based on the finished size of 20X5 on the kit, and it turned out to be too small. The finished size is 21X6 inches. br>br> br>br> br>br> br>br> br>br> br>br> br> br> br 14- 100-count white cotton Aida 100% cotton 6 strand floss and needlebr> High-quality products in every kitbr> Graph and multi-color printing lingual instructionsbr> Design Size: 20" x 5"br> Janlynn is a company based in the United States.
