Questions & Answers

What are they measuring from when they say the finished size is 16"? from head to toe? Is it possible to toe from a corner on a diagonal?

The length from top to bottom is approximately 13 inches. 5", with a diagonal measurement of about 16" from corner to toe.

Can I get more sequins for this kit if I need them? Are you running out of time?

Hello, I made this stocking and I seem to recall being short on white sequins. I had a large supply left over from some other stockings I made before this one, so I was able to finish the kit with them. If you don't have any leftovers, small packages of sequins can be found in any craft store, and you'll be sure to find a match.

Is there a needlepoint version of this pattern?

Sorry, but I've never seen anything like it. I hope this helps. 365 Days of Christmas star Barbara

The images and names are incorrect, and the Santa sidecar stocking appears under the title of the snow bears. Is it better to order by title or by image?

I'd base my decision on the heading. You could also send the seller a note stating which one you prefer.

It's lovely
5/5

I'd done cross stitch before, but this was my first large project, and the first one I'd ever completed. It was simple to follow the directions. The only thing I don't like about the pattern is that it leaves empty spaces with no stitching where the white parts should be, which makes it appear unfinished to me. I visited a Wal-Mart store. Mart and I went out and purchased some "snow-related" items. I used "white" dmc threads to fill in the gaps and it turned out beautifully. br>I watched some youtube videos on how to put the stocking together once it was finished and was able to sew mine together with a sewing machine (my first time). br>The backing was flannel, and the liner was cotton. I'm so excited to get started on the next one! In addition, it took me approximately four months to complete. Given that I work full-time, this isn't bad. full-time student with a full-time job I was attempting to work on it while a rambunctious 15-month-old harassed me! br>The only thing I would change is not to use black for the piece's outline. It would have looked better without it, in my opinion.

Updated - Out of the box, it appears to be promising
5/5

UPDATE: I finished the stocking and am very pleased with the outcome. It took me about 5 weeks to complete, as I worked on it every day (usually for about 3 hours). Even after changing the border colors and my boy's name, I had plenty of floss left over (at least one full piece of each color). I didn't use the felt because I had leftover plans from my husband's stocking from last year, and I also skipped the braided yarn hanger - Despite the fact that it's a cute touch, I believe my fabric tab will last longer. Overall, I'm pleased with this kit. I'm hoping that when my son is older, he will appreciate it as much as I do the one that my mother made for me 30 years ago. br>br>I just got this kit in the mail for my baby, and it looks like it will be a lot of fun to put together. The written instructions are easy to understand, and the pattern is color-coded to make it even easier to follow. The floss is well-organized and labeled, and it comes with aida, a needle, and backing felt. When I finish the stocking, which should be before Christmas, I'll update my review.

I've made several Christmas stockings for the company, and they need to improve their print quality and felt thickness
3/5

Bucilla stockings have made up the majority of them.
Pros: The design is cute, and the price was reasonable, which is why I gave it two stars.
Cons:
1. The felt isn't thick enough. I was afraid I'd rip a hole through the pieces.
2. Because the little stars were too delicate to appliqué on, I had to use fabric glue instead. I started with the sequins on the little stars, then went back over the stocking and sequins to secure them after the glue dried.
3. The pieces don't match the stocking's pattern very well. I had to juggle the pieces into place, and I was afraid of ripping the felt again, so the face was particularly difficult. br>4. Felt is thin on the cheeks. The face piece is printed in such a way that if it were embroidered, the edges would almost certainly tear. I used paper to make templates (hold the face felt piece up to the window, place paper over it, and draw the cheek outlines). I then used some pink felt that I had on hand to complete the project. Oh, and the face is a light pink color rather than a flesh tone. I suppose it's adequate. The fact that it was pink caught me off guard. br>br>A) The design was appealing to me. It asks you to quilt the beard. br>br>I'm still at it. Geesh! When I'm finished, I'll take pictures and post them. br>br>I strongly advise against it.

Very well-done! This stocking is absolutely gorgeous! It has a lot of shade variations, which gives it a lot of depth
5/5

With the small stitches and intricate color variations, this was a bit of a challenge for me, even though I've done a lot of cross stitching. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners because it keeps you on your toes. Half stitches, back stitches, French knots, couching, and sequin attachment are all available in addition to cross stitches. Not only do you need two stands, but there are also half stitches that require two, three, four, or even five strands. This leads to my only complaint: I ran out of several strands of the most commonly used colors, such as green shades, burgundy, and so on, despite the fact that I followed the directions and didn't waste any thread. Fortunately, I was able to locate a thread that was comparable. There are also stitches that require a two-color mix, which adds to the detailed look. br>br>The photo I took depicts my work for number three. Working many hours per day for five months. As soon as the baby is born, I need to finish the top with the name, as well as the outlining and details, which will make it even more beautiful! The white felt backing included in the kit is also of poor quality, as many people have complained. After spending so much time making this lovely piece, I decided to back it with a higher-quality red felt (shown in the photo), which will complement the beauty. br>br>According to the instructions, each six-piece set should be separated. strands together to form a single strand I thought it was a waste of time, and it was much easier to separate the strands as needed instead of putting them all together. I also put each color in its own envelope with a number on it. It was more organized and easier to use because it was filed numerically.
