The reason I had that problem was that I hadn't threaded it properly. The #1 cause of a bobbin jamming is that the machine is threaded incorrectly, so I started over and it fixed the issue -- it worked fine now. I did not experience the problem after that.
Plugging in this machine is as easy as plugging into a normal 110/120V outlet
It should work with any hemming foot that has a low shank.

This sewing machine was ordered by me for my mother on May 4th, and I was promised it would arrive sometime between May 11th and However, it did not arrive at that time, but rather on the 27th in the evening. In case anyone is having their doubts and believes that the delay is related to the COVID outbreak, I received the notification that it had already been shipped by the end of the day I placed my order (May 4th), something that happens about a day or two before any product arrives. The impression I got was that the person who had received the order had just scanned the product and labelled it "shipped" before it was even sent, at least that's what I perceived from After the machine finally arrived (only a short time after I sent in a complaint), it was broken. That's right, the damn thing has decided to stop working. I understand that my mother did not have the time or opportunity to begin working on projects until today (June 9th), but a product as valuable as this shouldn't be breaking down only 2 weeks after it's Please don't bother to write a review for this product, it is no different than any other 1 star review. It would be better to get a better product that's more robust than this piece of trash.
The Singer prelude R8280 was brand new for me when I bought it (i. e. , I bought it new). My purchase of the unit had to be taken into a repair shop after I discovered it had a defective belt and was out of timing. I had to spend another $100 dollars to have it working. Be sure to check the well function of the model before you make the purchase! Since this was purchased as a Mother's Day gift for my mom, I did not wish to deal with returning it and decided to take it to be repaired.
There is nothing better than this machine. When I bought the used computer, there were some issues getting all the parts together. However, Amazon immediately corrected the problem. My first experience with the machine was excellent. I am a complete beginner, and I was able to use it easily.
That needs to be taken back, so that it can turn around Once the light turns on, you can expect There will be a buzzing sound and then it will be off.
This is lightweight, noisy, does not sew well, and not worth the money or time spent on it.
Postage due was stated on the return label, and I had to pay $41 for it. There is a fee of 55 to return it! I find that unfair! I am disappointed.
