My level of understanding the instructions is extremely low, so please help me In what world is a bobbin used? As for the bobbin holder, I don't see it in the pictures, and the illustrations don't match the actual machine. I get the impression that the others answering these questions aren't beginners, so they have to think it's
All of them resemble cast metal (Zinc, Aluminum, or some alloy of them, the gears have dull gray finishes), while shafts are polished steel and most of the surfaces are polished steel, and Bearings or gears are made of plastic, but I cannot see any gears. As for the frame, it is made of The metal workings as far as I can tell are all metal. I haven't taken it apart completely, so I can't be sure exactly. Item to note My background as a machinist tells me that plastic is more expensive than steel or aluminum now and is becoming a comparatively rare material due to its
Using the machine for jeans hems was no problem at all. It only jams the machine when we use felt dust, which is caused by seeing felt in the machine, which causes felt dust to form a ball inside the machine. I had to get it fixed after using felt on a project
A thread can easily be threaded through the hole. It is also easy to fill the bobbin. While filling the bobbin on this machine, it is imperative that you fill it at a medium pace, as going too fast will result in uneven filling.

Denim and canvas were the primary purposes for which the machine was purchased. As a result of reading reviews and using other brands, I decided to take a gamble and I was not disappointed. I have successfully sewn through multi-layered folded seams and it is easy to use. If you intend to sew multilayers of material or light weight fabric, I strongly encourage you to invest in a walking foot. The purchase of the Singer began as a challenge for my upholstery and boat cover business, and it now sits alongside a $6,000 Chandler industrial machine where there is very little it can't do. Our outcome will depend on the passage of time and the use of it.
The sewer has been sewing basic stitches for many years and is well versed in the equipment and Despite its many faults, this machine has never operated smoothly. It was first the feed dog switch that went out. As soon as I fixed that, now it simply does not run anymore. I have no particular reason for doing so. Rather than move a pressure foot, it just seems to have no power. Only two months have passed since she has used this machine, for which the only thing she really sews are hems and shirts for her There's no need for her to be an expert. This machine has left me totally disappointed.
It has done a great job on the boat cover I made with it. I found the machine to be fast and easy to use, and the work was finished in a short amount of time! It has already proven its worth to me in just a short period of time! Depending on the boat cover project I was working on, I would take between three to five days to finish It was not a problem to make the machine handle 6 layers of outdoor waterproof fabric!.
I have purchased two machines of this model, and they both failed with the same problem. Also, they were not yet 1 year or 2 years old. A lot of thread had gathered and was messed up on the reverse side. After giving up on Singer, I bought a Bother sewing machine. As I was loading up the Singer to throw away, I thought I would try YouTube to see if it could be fixed. Videos can be found here. Unfortunately, the problem did not go away after the repairs. However, two cases of the 4411 were defective, so it does not appear to be a good machine for the price.
However, I would like to purchase this machine, but my needle will not line up for straight stitching. It is very difficult to do straight stitching when this happens. On top is what is called a needle positioner, but it is completely inactive. Nothing seems to work. I have tried everything I can think of. I can complete all the other stitches on this machine with no problems but I will have a lot of difficulty if I do not have the needle adjusted for my regular work.
Quite pleased with the result. I still keep the needle it comes with after sewing through leather and canvas, often more than one layer The machine has a good motor and is strong enough to sew guys. As of 7/8/17, I just kept using the supplied needle and am still very pleased with the results.
Although I wanted to enjoy it, I was disappointed since I was expecting it to be heavy duty. The machine was unable to pass through fabric layers as efficiently as my regular model, regardless of needle/thread usage. Also, the machine had an extremely strong chemical smell while being used, so it gave me a headache since my head was quite close to it while I worked on it. It was a disappointment for me since I enjoy Singer's music.
There is nothing I dislike about this sewing machine! It is quite This machine is easy to use and operate (especially since I am a novice at Although the paper directions are somewhat confusing, I recommend watching this YouTube video to quickly gain an understanding of them. In terms of functioning, the product has not caused any problems or concerns so far. The pros are I. - This is a very durable and sturdy bag*- A handle means it's easy to carry (it has a handle)*br It comes with directions* - It is built better than other Singer sewing machines (I like that it is made out of metal since the plastic on my previous sewing machine broke). *- I hate the length of the power cord I like Peddle because it is sensitive and works The cons are I. - The directions might be too complicated for a novice (someone who is teaching themselves to sew), but YouTube videos are an excellent resource.
