For those who are just starting out, this is ideal. The elastic waist skirts I made in two weeks were the first ones I had made in 40 years since I started sewing again. Aside from teaching my granddaughter how to sew doll blankets and crib sheets, I also taught her how to sew Her job is to do everything, and I just sit beside her to watch. You Tube also enabled me to watch some useful videos.
The fabric will be stretched out if the foot isn't held up to feed, otherwise it will squish when it feeds. Due to the fact that one only has one hand to direct the fabric, this also complicates it. Take care not to damage the knob on the left side of the needle that tightens the Trying to guide the knit will cause it to hit your finger as it is longer than usual. presser foot does not seem to hold the knit in place effectively unless the teeth on the feed are very fine and the presser foot is very lightly tilted. There is no going back for the fleece, not even the A microgram of weight
You can try it out on scrap fabric to see if it works (just try it out). According to information (as of Jan 2015) the buttonhole foot has only a red horizontal alignment mark on the left, so it is hard to measure whether the fabric is aligned correctly. In order to achieve proper alignment, I marked the right side of the text with a marker pen.

Sewing has been my livelihood for at least 50 years (no, I'm not old, I just started when I was Singer has always been my #1 sewing machine of choice as it was my mother's before I was born. I've also used Brother, Pfaff, and Pfaff sewing machines. This Singer was purchased to give to my teenage granddaughter as a learning machine. However, I found it so useful that I kept it and gave my younger granddaughter my 20-year-old Singer instead. On my old machine I made heavy use of all these features. With this new machine I make good use of several more features. Two prime features I love about this new machine over my old one are (1) its self-threading needle, and (2) its clear, crisp cutter head. With a see-through bobbin case, you can always see how much bobbin thread you have left (3) the drop down needle position feature for easy pivoting around corners (4) and Although I have made my own clothing for years, I now have a small business selling handbags. My only consideration was going with a big industrial machine because I often sew very thick fabrics like denim. This machine, however, is able to sew through 4 layers of denim with no problem! Besides sewing clothing, I also make a lot of knitwear and love the stretch stitches on this machine. It is a real workhorse and I give it a big The only negative thing I can say about this machine is that I wish the storage compartment was a bit bigger.
A simple summer dress has been sewn and I was beginning to sew my second when I heard the machine make a crunching sound followed by the biggest bird nest I've When I was searching for the reason why the machine would do such a thing, I found other reasons for it. Rethreading, refilling the bobbin, and checking on the position of the presser foot did not resolve the problem. It did not matter what I did. Throughout my 50 years of sewing, I have accumulated a lot of experience. After checking it out at a repair shop, I still wanted to make sure there was no operator malfunction. A crunching noise was heard when the machine was tried by the owner. This was just the third new Singer machine he had received in the past couple weeks. Could you please tell me his You should recycle. This is a warning! There is nothing useful about this machine, so you should avoid it. The above is far from all I could say about this machine as I have already wasted considerable energy on it.
It is the first sewing machine I have ever been disappointed in as a professional seamstress. I wish I could return this new and, I hope, never-to-be used sewing machine. On the way I was sold a used machine. The automatic features were not ideal and caused a lot of issues rather than helping. The presser foot cannot be controlled whatsoever, and it will always engage 100% tension on the fabric regardless of the fabric type. As far as the information provided goes, this is false advertisement. We are unable to get the fabric to flow smoothly through the machine. It is unable to handle even the most basic projects due to the auto features, lack of control, and tension which is heavy set on this machine. Also, the thread jams up very easily if a straight stitch is used. No movement is being made by the teeth or the foot.
I love how well they all work! I have never had a sewing machine with a screen until now, so I am the first to have one. Is not to be missed! My only concerns are personal preferences, such as not having a lever to go backwards) and it only doing a locking stitch on some stitches and not going You have to use a screwdriver to change the needles as well. In the current era, nearly all machines are like this, so I have no issue In my experience, I don't find the self-sewing feature necessary, but it works well and is a nice feature. One of the best sewing machines I have ever used or owned. I have included a link to a case that fits well with this machine. It has enough extra room for you to put the foot pedal and the power cord next to the machine instead of trying to stuff There was a case I bought at Joann's. Both the machine and the case are highly recommended! Ibid. *br.
Three of this model Singer 7258 have been purchased by me previously. I failed to get the machine to last more than two days after I bought it. During the second session, we spoke for two hours and during the third, we talked for The amount of sewing I do is not that great. There is no need for me to sew every day. There was a problem with the code "C4". It's about getting the thread from the bobbin tangled. As far as I could tell, there was no thread problem. There was always a problem when stitching with decorative stitches. Through the window I can check the bobbin, I do not have to use a foot pedal to sew, and you can see the bobbin through the window The needle should be pointed downward at the end of the run.
