Yes, for beginners, this is an excellent machine. If you want to make a quilt, there is an optional walking foot (SA107) that works well with this machine.
If they know how to sew, that is, it's a real sewing machine.

This, on the other hand, accomplishes nearly everything to the fullest extent possible. buttonholes, and a variety of stitches are all done by large heavy machines. It also comes with a DVD tutorial, which is also available on You-Tube. tube and I used it to learn how to thread it, see what I was doing wrong, and now that I know how to thread it properly (and it really IS simple), I've used it to hem, make a dress, and repair many items I had planned to take to the dry cleaner for alteration. I've already saved three or four times what I would have paid at the dry cleaners for the cost of this machine. br>It comes with a complete warranty and is in excellent condition. It also looks nice because of the blue flowers. br>I would recommend this to both novice and advanced sewers.

I despise sewing and would rather do almost any other chore around the house; My passion, on the other hand, is thrift store shopping. and you're aware of what that entails: Bring it in, bring it up! My vintage Kenmore was rusted and erratic at best, and I didn't want to spend the money on a new machine, so I turned to Amazon for help. I chose this refurbished little gem, and I couldn't be happier with it! It's very affordable, comes in a nice package, and comes with all of the necessary bobbins, needles, and attachments. It truly appears and functions as if it were brand new! Even though I still despise sewing, I am relieved to know that I now have a dependable, simple-to-use method. Make use of the machine.
