Using it only once to hem some pants is the only use I've had so far. The button method has not yet been tested. Sorry, I suppose

If you have to tie off when done sewing, do not buy the mini sewing machine

Spend a little more and get the mini sewing machine that does not require you to do so. My stitch kept breaking and I have to fix it again and wait another 5 stitches to have it fixed.
