Has a good hold on the shape

The yarn is amazing. I'm very pleased. In addition to not being distracting, it is wrapped evenly and in a consistent manner. The silver strand provides enough distraction that I do not need a pattern when I am making a plain scarf with stockinette stitch so that it makes my work easier. There were two things I found appealing about this its softness and its I am very happy with the The only thing I didn't like about this was that the metallic sparkle strip wasn't very well worked into the yarn, so when I worked with it and balled it up, I had to be very careful to prevent it from collecting and knotting up where my fingers kept In some places, the yarn ran parallel to it. I was able to set up the project properly once I devised a method for preserving the integrity of the metallic bit in relation to the yarn. Once again, this was soft, and I produced a nice broomstick lace scarf with two strands held together.

I wouldn't use it for baby projects, however, due to the metallic strip's scratchiness. The amount of sparkle is not overpowering for an adult, but for a baby, I recommend using a yarn designed specifically for babies.

I felt pretty soft yarn in the bag (s. throughout). Although in the description/photo it appears that the yarn has a silver sparkle thread running through it. My intention was to make a Christmas throw blanket out of it. A RAINBOW colored sparkle thread was woven through the yarn I received. Skien is also a very small island. There are strands of plastic in your yarn? With interspersed breaks. The only thing is that the sparkly stuff breaks off after a while and while crocheting it ends up in a ball. There was a lot of work involved with this yarn. It would not have occurred to me to use this yarn if I hadn't been commissioned to use Hey, at least the little girl liked it. At Lion Brand, we need to do something about the frequency of knots in the yarn.

Easy to make and cost effective

I made my daughter a pocket shawl with pockets. The black one she wanted I decided to make it a little extra special with some highlights & metallics The yarn I used for this was from DMC. Despite its softness and ease of handling, this fabric has a flexible feel to it. Keeping the evening chills at bay will keep her warm. This is a yarn that everyone should try.

There was not as much sparkle as I hoped for

It is misleading to look at this picture. When you try to use it, this yarn is not nearly as sparkly as it seems. A little more sparkle would have been welcome. I am disappointed. As a 4' weight it's an okay weight, but because it's slightly thinner than the rest of my project it's thinner than the rest of what I'm going to use it for. I find this yarn to be soft and pleasant to touch. All in all, it is a decent yarn, although the product picture makes it seem The likelihood is that the item will not be purchased.
