You should definitely hand wash this and lay it flat! Keep an eye out for
The yarn I use for this particular pattern is a US L11/ 8. I'm not sure if this helps, but I double up the yarn. A hook with a diameter of 00mm
I do not believe they are. Baby velvet is much thinner than adult velvet. Nevertheless, I managed to knit and crochet in the same blanket with them at times. The only thing to keep in mind is that they are a bit Compared to regular velvet, the baby yarn goes a little farther.
It is true. As far as I can tell, tis yarn is very similar to Bernat's blanket yarn, though There is a 4.5-oz Bulky weight rating on the yarn

In my opinion, this is what needs to be done Before using a skein of yarn in a project, have it wound into a ball using a yarn winder. Most yarns should never be used from the skein. As such, the yarn needs to be wound into a ball before it can be used. That being said, I find this yarn to be very wonderful to work with and have made quite a few beautiful items from I would like to emphasize one final cautionary note. In terms of the final product, the type of crochet stitch makes a big difference. For this specific yarn, keep it Make sure that you don't get too caught up in complicated designs. Let the yarn shine, not the stitches.
There is a lot of softness to this yarn, which makes it In spite of this, it did tangle a lot. As I looked at the yarn, I felt as if I had spent more time untangling than using it. A side effect of the yarn is that it can easily slide around. I noticed that certain sections of my blanket were "loosening up" like a snag while I was working on it. At first I didn't notice it, but I started to notice it more and more as time went by. The majority of the sections in my blanket came loose after I finished. It does not look very good. I am giving it away as a gift. It would be a waste of my money if I bought this yarn or worked with it.
During this time, it slipped and became loose. During the process of making an afghan, there were more loops sticking out of the blanket as I worked on it. Some reviewers have shown better photos than my own here which show this problem more clearly than the ones I took (gray yarn did not show these problems very well unfortunately). After starting, starting, going back and restarting three times, undoing and going back, and finally giving up, I closed this page. I love this yarn! It's so pretty and soft. As suggested, here is what I did There is a velvet-like feel and look to it. There is a richness of colors in this picture. However, this yarn is probably not going to make another appearance in my life. Despite seeing this as a beginner, I have been crocheting for thirty plus years and I had some trouble getting the yarn not to unravel or slip. Further along in my blanket, the lower the quality became in the earlier sections therefore, it was not a simple mistake on my part. Could you use this for a small project? Is there a way to avoid this problem with super tight stitches? Although I am not a great crocheter, I am pretty fast. An idea just crossed my mind.
The hat and scarf were made by hand. The velvet yarn is soft, however there were about 5 or more tied ends in the skein, which made it difficult to hide the ends.
Your money will be wasted if you do this. While this yarn is beautiful, it has at least 6 knots on every skein.
It hasn't worked out so well. This is a super soft and gorgeous fabric! I have just finished knitting a second skein, but sadly it was bald in places and kept snapping at random. Several of its edges were tied together, so it was very obvious that it had been bound. There were many bald spots on the blanket, but you couldn't see them because they were covered up. I'm crossing my fingers that my third one will be as awesome as my.
I was happy to find this for crocheting amigurumi patterns for my son's cuddly stuffed animals. You wouldn't want to lose it. It's a great quality, it won't fall apart easily. The fluff was not missing in any part of the blanket, and crocheting with it was a delight. There was no catching of stitches on the yarn as I kept the tension on the yarn. The stitches can also be easily seen due to the fuzziness, so they can't be hidden. Purchased more colors. Can't wait to use them.
I immediately recognized that I had found something really special when my fingers touched this soft, luscious yarn. My order for more was placed after I worked with it for 30 minutes. You can knit a blanket fairly quickly with the thickness and not worry about the weight being too much (you will however require It took me a day to double my second order after working with it for a day. This is not a cheap product. As far as quality is concerned, it still represents a good value. I remember some of the times when I felt like I was working with Furthermore, I didn't have any knots at all (due to factory splicing or to In addition, almost no fuzz was evident. The tensile strength of this yarn is sufficient to crochet reasonably tight and even rows, without any fraying. It has the perfect amount of stretch to it as well. I wanted just enough of a hug to feel like I was going to get a little hug, but not so much that I felt like I was talking to It is so exciting to have more of this plush yarn in my hands once the rest of my order arrives.
