You must be so sorry to have experienced this. These worked perfectly for blocking the cream colored baby merino shawl that I was using. Do you know if the thread is natural or if it's been treated in any way? The no-rinse product I use to wet my work is specially made to protect delicate fibers, and I always use towels to absorb the excess moisture as well. In order for my project to dry, I turn on the ceiling fan after it has been laid out. You should be able to find the answer soon.
My thanks go out to you for your inquiry. It is not possible to purchase pins in 2" size, as stated above. I'd like to thank Oliver at KnitIQ for his kind words
The pins are not so fine. They are heavy duty for blocking heavier knit pieces, so they are more like the pins found on wigs. Blocking my knitted item, such as blankets, caps, and scarves, can be accomplished with these tools.
T-shirt clips are what I use as glue pins, but I'm not sure what they are Knitted items can be blocked with pins. The ground isn't slippery at all.

The pins are very strong (not easily bent), and importantly they appear to be made from a highly durable stainless steel! (Thank you, Ruth @ KnitIQ for the timely reply!)
It is advertised (as described). A "magnet" only has a limited effect on "GOOD" stainless steel the rest of you may not be aware of. It's reported that magnets cannot attach to stainless steel (so you can't attach them). So I did check and these pins were NOT affected/picked up by the normal but small magnet I use. Stainless Steel T-Shirts advertised by Amazon have been returned (thank you Amazon). For the record, I have returned the "Advertised" T-Shirts. It is common to find pins (by sellers) that are NOT "Stainless Steel," instead being "Nickle Plated Steel. " The fine print (read it! Thanks, KnitIQ and Amazon! We found this to be very "cool". I can't possibly express my gratitude for this business enough! The tin was empty when I received it, and I wondered, "Was this just for the tin?"? My mistake was that the pins weren't included since it wasn't an incredibly expensive item. ". There is no need to worry. I can use the tin for other items as well, such as stitch markers, tapestry needles, and other small items. Within a week of delivery, I received an email and went to check the description and found that there were supposed to be 150 pins included In working with Oliver at KnitIQ customer service, I obtained a tin of pins and a tin of pins was sent to me very quickly. A couple of words - I was surprised to see them when they arrived at my home a few days later. Despite their low price, the pins and tins are good quality and I use them often for blocking my projects and also to hold panels together as I sew Oliver was not only phenomenal with his customer support, but I was also extremely pleased with the product I received. KnitIQ takes very good care of me right away even though it is a small purchase. Whereas most companies wouldn't care about the opinion of one person with such a small purchase, KnitIQ does.
I was pleased to receive the pins on schedule and well packaged. Despite coming in a box, the products are easy to open and close These pins will work well for my crocheted snowflakes that need to be blocked and starched. There are no rust issues with these pins and they are the perfect length.
The 150 KnitIQ t-shirts that I purchased last year cost nearly the same as the box of 40 pins I bought at Joann's We need pins in the This is also a really nice and sturdy tin, which is big enough for me to put my other pins in. There is no doubt about it I used a "mighty magnet" to check and it stuck to the tin like crazy, but there were no signs of movement on A big shout out to KnitIQ T-shirts Thanks a lot! I don't plan on counting it as there are 150 pins, which looks like 150 pins in a padded envelope with plastic shrink wrap intact. They arrived within 2 days.
This order of pins came in separate from another one of blocking mats so I could make sure it would come with enough In opening the mats, the pins appeared darker than the ones that came with them. Curios, I ran my fingers over the base of the pins and discovered that it left a dark line. Using a paper towel is the same. Are you sure it is tarnished? others that were severely bent and had to be thrown away, as well as a fair number that were bent to the side. I was able to fix these easily, but I feel it should not have been necessary since they are supposed to be brand I am disappointed in this purchase, to put it mildly.
My experience so far is that I've seen a couple of pins that have 7s instead of Ts. Knit Picks T-Sweats offer better breathability than Knit Picks Compared to the pins that came with my blocking wires, these are way more thin, less sturdy. The steel is not bending, but I can tell that they are priced at a premium due to their high Some of the pins have rough points, and I snagged my lace shawl project (Yikes. I'm happy that it's only 4 I bought it for the case, because I had nothing to put 150 pins in. * * * * The case is made of cotton, so it will last. There is enough room in the case for more than one bottle The board has about 40 more pins, and you can add more as you see fit. The number is not very great, but there are I give it 3 out of 5 stars, which means it meets my Even though my expectations for Perfect Pins were not high, there is room for improvement even for the cost (the defective pin issue is the largest complaint), so I can't give them a four or five. A smoother point is needed, as well as fewer defective pins (I anticipate I will find a few more 7s since I have not gone through the entire box), a thicker gauge is prudent, as well as a thinner gauge. If those things could happen, I would pay $2 more on top of everything else.
As you can see, they are It was really hard to decide which pins to order, but I am glad I did. There are many scarves and shawls I knit that require a lot of time and attention It will take a tin of 250+ pins to block all the pins you need. When blocking, I often use a piece of cardboard because my blocked items dry faster and the pins slice through the cardboard easily without breaking I only have a problem with how easy it was to close the can. Somehow, I have to move the lid around a little to get it to close tightly because it doesn't line up perfectly. Apart from those concerns, I think these pins will last for a.
However, when would you like to. In addition to the T pins, a tin was included. As soon as they arrived, however, the tin had been opened, and the pins were scattered everywhere. During transit, a number of T pins fell out of the package due to poor sealing. 150 pins are supposed to be present. The number of people here is unlikely to be all of them, but I haven't tallied. They were spilling from the box as my son brought it to me, so I assume some of them got lost.
