My first loom knitting project was a breech cap. I've found loom knitting to be a fascinating and easy The two books I purchased were actually of the same model.
As a gift, A gave me a sock weaving loom. There is a Moore, Nicole brand I've tried and hated it to no end. My name is Meg. I enjoy knitting and crocheting and have heard that the sock loom made them go faster. However, for me, it was too slow and frustrating, and the yarn kept popping out of the loom. It occurred to me that the issue could have nothing to do with the loom itself, so I tried a different hook. This hook really stands out, and I'm amazed at what a difference it makes! Do not get me wrong, I'm a little slow as I don't have the muscle memory to do this, but it quickly and smoothly hooks the yarn without splitting. If you are new to sock looming and find that your hook does not work for you, I recommend this hook.
As a new weaver, I had no idea what the quality of loom hooks was like. I noticed that my hand was sore after I completed the first hat. There is a YouTube channel called LoomAhat that shows loom hooks that have been reinforced with rubber bands in order to make them more ergonomically correct. This is important to me because I plan to loom knit and will need a hook that is comfortable to use. It's not recommended to use a thin hook like this. I don't know about others, but I can understand their stance.
I'm not sure what to make of the whiners in the reviews for this It works, does it not? Yes, I agree! It seems to work as good as the ones that come with all the loom kits, doesn't it? Yes, I agree! Does it fit into your budget? Yes, I agree! I paid $1 for the book. The same price for 3 of them (I ordered 3) & All of the items in my order of $25 or more were delivered with them. My kids will be much happier than having to drag them to the store and waste gas and time Keeping on top of it is key.
That is a great hook. I had no idea the little things that made it Since the hook itself is short and thicker than most, it is easy to grab only what you are interested in. Every aspect of my life has been sped up. In addition to being comfortable, it holds well in the hand.
The hook that came with my sock loom was not thin enough to move yarn over the pins. Using the Boye has been a hassle free experience for me. This is a highly recommended product.
As a hook, I can't say I rave about it but it does what it is supposed to do. In any event I've used it for a while and it hasn't broken yet so its probably good. I get the feeling that the handle could be bigger and the hooks could hold the yarn better, but that might make it hard to become loose, I dunno.
You may want to look for a tool with a larger handle if you have pain or mobility issues in your hands. Although I bought this to replace my big one after I lost it, it is an adequate tool for average use. for me, I found my other one, but I'm keeping this one in case I lose it.
