Questions & Answers
The rubber grips are encased with full metal hooks. I'm not sure about the wooden ones, but I'm guessing they're also full length.
The engraved design will not fade over time.
They're made of aluminum, and the shaft extends far enough down to make them sturdy.
No, both sets of hooks are tapered. They're lovely hooks that feel great in your hands.

For nearly a decade, I've been erring on the side of caution. I had no idea how much I needed this case until I got it, but I'm glad I have it now. It came with a lot of stuff, so I swapped out the ergonomic hooks for my own (and gave the rest to my 8-year-old, who is still learning). It's the perfect size for my Boyd hooks. The thread hooks, however, were kept. The wood has a flat, rather than a round, shape. I haven't tried them yet, and I'm not sure how comfortable they'll be to hold. br>br>It's both attractive and practical. I've included images so you can see what I'm talking about. br>br>Keep in mind that the included items are hit-or-miss, and the stitch markers are useless. They're stiff and difficult to open (get the ones from Joann Fabric)br>br>Also, the eye needles I found on Amazon for $3 and they come with a small container, which I put in this case and recommend.
I purchased this set to keep in our RV because I frequently purchase yarn from local yarn shops while on vacation and rarely have crochet tools with me. I really like the case. Others have complained about their cases being torn or defective, but mine is in excellent condition and very attractive. I chose to work with one of the plastic-based materials. handled hooks to begin a lacy headband, only to discover after a few minutes that the lace-like lace-like lace-like lace lace-like lace-like lace-like lace-like The metal stem beneath the hook was catching (rather than sliding) weight yarn. When I compared these hooks to my Clover Soft Touch Hooks, I was surprised at how poorly made they are compared to the Clovers. I plan to remove these hooks from the case and replace them with my much better quality Clovers, as another reviewer has suggested. To be fair, these hooks may work well with standard wool or acrylic yarn that isn't prone to catching or snagging. Crocheted lace, on the other hand, will disappoint you.
Today, the package arrived. I'm really looking forward to the cute packaging and all of the accessories, including the binder to keep everything in. Everything appeared to be in good working order. br>br>I take out some yarn and a G hook 4 from my stash. The elastic rips and pops open when it stretches to 5mm. So I take a closer look at the case and hooks. br>br>I've included the before and after photos of me removing a hook. br>br> The case appears to be about to rip open due to loose threads, and the smaller wooden hooks clearly have glue around their heads. br>br>This is a fantastic package, but the quality is subpar. I'm hoping I got a bad package, in which case I'll exchange it and see what the next one brings. br>br>I took pictures of everything I said in my comments.
I primarily purchased this item for the hooks because I already own a crochet case and many of the included accessories (though it's always nice to have more). These hooks are nice because the rubber texture is easy to grip and feels more comfortable in my hand than plain metal hooks. Switching from metal hooks to these hooks was a little awkward at first because of the extra bulk, but once I got used to it, I didn't notice much of a difference, and my hands seem to be hurting less overall. br>The only issue I had with this product was the low quality of the case. Because the end wasn't sewn in properly the first time I zipped the zipper portion of it closed, the zipper came right off the track. As I previously stated, this was not a major issue for me because I purchased this product primarily for the hooks and not the case, but I wanted to bring it up so that anyone looking at the case is aware of the potential issue.
I really wanted to like this, but it's a bit of a letdown right away. I was hit by a strong chemical odor when I opened the plastic bag it came in. I'm going to leave it outside to let it air out. I noticed the strap between two hooks wasn't sewn in after unzipping the first side with the rubber gripped hooks. When I took out one of the hooks, it also lifted the seam next to it. I'll have to remove the hooks with extreme caution until I figure out how to sew it back together. The handles have a powdery, dusty feel to them, which isn't particularly appealing. Later, I'll wash the hooks in the hopes of getting rid of that feeling. The rest of the accessories are standard; I bought this case to store my Boye ergonomic crochet hooks. It's a bummer that I've already had to figure out how to repair this new case.
I like that the hook case has two main zippered sections, as well as a large mesh zippered compartment and a small solid fabric zippered compartment for small items like stitch markers and yarn needles. Snips, a tape measure, large stitch/cable holders, plastic yarn needles, a small pack of tiny stitch markers, two sets of knitting needle point protectors, and a hook sizer with inches and metric markings on the sides are also included. The wooden handles on the steel hooks feel great in your hand, but they're a little slick; I haven't had a chance to use them yet, so I can't give you a full review. The yarn hooks, on the other hand, are cushioned and incredibly soft, and I love using them. Because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and find it difficult to hold a regular small handle, I purchased these to try. The only drawback, at least for me, is that all of the hooks are marked in metric only; however, if you live anywhere other than the United States, this will not be an issue. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would gladly order from them again.
8 small, doily-sized hooks, plenty of room for the ergonomic hooks The book-like zippered organizer opens up like a book. has the same cover (light gray with roses) as the crocheted blanket. Looen also sold me a yarn bag. Now, the reason I gave it a four star rating is that I've had "ergonomic" hooks in the past that were wider. It was easier to work with these hooks because they were thicker than these hooks. These are a lot lighter. smaller. The mm sizes are engraved on the ruler, which is nice, but the letters g,h, and j are missing. , I'm in desperate need of correspondence. br>I'll keep it, though, because I like the way it's organized. Better ergonomic hooks are all I have to say.
