All the hook's length is made up of plastic material. There is a lot of durability to it. There are a number of sizes of Clover Amour hooks I own and they are all sturdy and well constructed. The two of them will be enjoyable for you.
A guess would be that it is approximately six inches long. My Clover M (9mm) hook is about 6" long. However, I do not have a hook this large (15mm refers to hook size).

The tip is tapered, like Boye aluminum (not the inline type that you will find with Susan Bates)
NOT a soft or cushy handle like I In reality, the handle is made of a hard, rubber-like material, but it's shaped in an ergonomic way. It is typical for hooks to be about the same length as Susan Bates' standard aluminum but a half inch shorter than Boyes' aluminum. Although I was initially disappointed that it was not soft, the shape helps keep cramps and fatigue at bay in the long run. You'll find hundreds of sets on Amazon that look very similar to these ergonomic crochet hooks when you search ergonomic crochet hooks. The two don't have the same characteristics, but they share quite a few. All the handles seem to be the same length, but their shape is slightly different (a softer handle with a more rubbery feel that I'm not a fan of) I am not as satisfied with the smoothness of the As well as Clover's regular hooks, they also make a "Soft Touch" hook with a gold handle. While the oval shaped handle is nice, it is not soft, and the hook itself is very shallow, making it difficult to hold the yarn in place. They disgust me to the core. She makes a hook that's called the Soft Handle by Susan Bates. I like the extra long handle of these soft handles better than the Clover Amour because the soft handle is essentially a foam pencil grip with no real ergonomic shape. Unlike Amour, these are a full inch longer. Those with a small or medium size hook are made from metal, with a smooth finish and a brushed nickel appearance. A seamless plastic material is used for larger sizes.

I like to crochet with chunky yarn and am currently making a blanket with Bernat Extra yarn. The yarn A second hook was needed (I like to start multiple projects at once), and I found it difficult to find the Clover brand. They are definitely worth the extra cost!.

This review is not intended to knock the seller, but rather to demonstrate just how fantastic the hook was. The seller shipped promptly, packaged well, and delivered exactly what they said it would be. I have a set of ergonomic handled metal hooks (Athena), which I do enjoy using. This hook is very similar to the Clover Amour hook. I bought this hook since Clover hooks are known for their high quality and I needed a larger size hook. The handle on this knife is excellent. It is soft to the touch while being firm at the same time. The plastic hook on top is, however, a major annoyance to me. Because of the weight of a 15mm hook, I understand it's not made of metal, but this plastic hook is fine by me. I really don't like the blunt hook head, and the hook itself is very smooth where it should be, but it's oddly wide and I feel it's too big. As opposed to my normal hooks, my normal hooks are a tiny bit pointed, making pushing them through loops easier. It also seems like the hook shaft is a little bit short to me, since it is meant for bulky yarns and multiple stranded yarns. The hook was too difficult for me to use. It's an inline hook head, so getting used to that is a bit of a challenge. After that I purchased a second plastic hook by Susan Bates, which I found to be much easier to use. In other words, it's not the plastic head that's the problem for me. It's the wide and blunt shape of the head and the length of the hook shaft, which I find too short to handle bulky yarn.

There's no better hook than this. To replace a 15mm hook I purchased at the start of the year, I decided to buy the large 15mm size after trying Clover hooks for the first time. The decision was one I'm so glad I made. I had previously purchased a hook that was quite large. 15mm may seem like a large hook, but it was a huge hook all around. I found it very awkward to use due to the handle, the length, and so on. There are many benefits to crocheting with this hook. It has a much smaller handle which makes it more natural and similar to crocheting with When it comes to hook sizes larger than 4. 0, Clover is by far my favorite!.

must admit that I was initially a little hesitant about using plastic hooks since I am not used to that. It has been my experience in my past that I'd rather "zoom" my yarn through the hook than feel a "drag" resistance, and usually end up feeling cramps and pain in my arms and hands, as well as being I use this hook to crochet those bulky, thick, thin, and textured yarns with ease and without This needle glides through any stitches I choose to use for a project and it makes a beautiful result! I am pleased to report that this Clover Needlecraft Amour hook has eliminated my hesitations, and now I will happily tackle any crochet project and use this hook to successfully complete my project, while ensuring my comfort with its It's a great hook, I'm sure you'll enjoy it too!.

I like the hook very much. I have not found another of this size that is as good. This knitting machine comes with a good ergonomic design, a nice slipperiness, and I was able to work with super bulky yarn despite having carpal tunnel syndrome, which is remarkable. It's really well-written. I threw away two 15mm hooks before I got this one, so I am really impressed. The hooks that I buy in the future will only be manufactured by this brand.

It had gone missing, and this was ideal for the quick lap blanket I needed to create When I crochet, I use the fluffy blanket yarn for kids on a large hook, although I go a bit larger because I see the difference in the look. As far as I'm concerned, I have a couple other hooks made by different brands, which they claim to be ergonomic, but this one is actually more comfortable than I thought. In addition, I have plain metal hooks, which work but I think I might switch to this brand and type of hook.

The blue end of this needle is silicon or something similar, and it's very soft. It's the first needle I've used of this size. The needle is a bit awkward because of the size, but just for the size. This white piece is very smooth, making it easy for the yard to slide over it. I caught fibers from the blue end of my yarn and after working with it for a couple hours, it started to take on some of the color of the yarn.
