It's made of a rubbery, plastic-like substance. It's not squishy, but it's cozy! When I look at the L/8, I'm struck by how similar they are. 0 vs 4. The pink L/8 is number five. Y is more plastic with a value of 0 than it is with a value of 1.
Because some yarns, such as chunky yarns and blanket yarns, are made in a larger size. To work some of the new patterns, you'll need a larger hook. The work that is currently being done is extremely exciting, and these hooks make things much easier.
Hooks are about 5 inches long and are the same as standard hooks.
Yes, as long as it's the same size as the pattern. This is the type of hook I use on almost every project I work on.

Please keep in mind that I am a novice crocheter. I attempted to crochet a few years ago, but the worsted weight yarn kept falling off the hook. Now that I've discovered how much I enjoy working with bulky yarns, I've tried a few different hooks without success. The hook on this one is deep enough to accommodate bulky yarn. I wish it had a little more grip (less slip in the deep part of the hook), but I believe that is due to my lack of understanding of how to properly maintain the tension. Unlike the metal handles I have, which will be donated, this one is soft and comfortable to hold. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.
The knitters pride was the worst (the head was far too big/bulky, and the hook shaft was far too narrow for far too long), while the Prym wasn't bad-- In my opinion, this is a good middle-of-the-road hook. br>br>However, I was immediately drawn to the Clover Amour for my project because it is ideal in every way I care about. The head is the perfect size, and the shaft thickens quickly, allowing me to stitch faster and easier because I don't have to slide the yarn very far. This is a hook that I strongly suggest!.
Love it! I'd never used a plastic crochet hook before, but they've quickly become one of my favorites. It's also very ergonomically sound. I have arthritis in my hands, but I can crochet all day without pain, and I like that the hook extends beyond the handle. My other metal ergonomic hooks are much shorter, which makes working with popular bulky and super bulky yarns more difficult. br>I am extremely pleased with the hooks and enthusiastically recommend them to any crocheter.
Clover Armour is a fantastic hook in every way. They are dependable and comfortable. The fact that the 8mm and larger hooks are plastic rather than metal is always a disappointment to me. I'm not sure why they aren't made of metal, because plastic has a different glide than metal when crocheting. However, quality hooks in larger sizes are difficult to come by, and these are superior to any other plastic hooks I've tried. There are quite a few of them in my possession.
They're made of the same material as this hook, but they're no longer usable due to their lack of ergonomics. The hooks are excellent quality, and if they're anything like the ones I inherited from my mother, they'll last a very long time. Whether you've been crocheting for a long time, like me, or are just starting out, you need good tools. The quality of these crochet hooks is excellent. They make working on any project a pleasure.
For all crocheters, but especially for those with carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, or arthritis, this book is a must-have. I have the trifecta of them. I can crochet for hours without the pain that I used to get from my old aluminum hooks. Clover is a high-end brand, and this hook is a breeze to use. I'm using the 9mm size for chunky chenille blanket yarn, which slides easily. I honestly couldn't crochet without an ergonomic hook, so why not treat myself to the best after 36 years? I promise you'll never want to use another brand after this.
I ordered 10mm as add-ons and was overjoyed when they arrived. The quality is unrivaled, and it is comparable to Addi (made in Germany). I wish everyone good luck with their crocheting. knitting a hat: ) I'm grateful for all of your blessings.
I bought this hook after misplacing my sewology hook from Hobby Lobby, and I was blown away by the difference. I was particularly impressed with how smooth it was and how much faster I was able to crochet. Until I tried this, I didn't believe my old one was bad. No snags! The grip is also very comfortable. From now on, I'm only going to buy Clover crochet hooks.
