At the time I received this, it was broken. Attachment to the table does not tighten, so it falls off all the time. The screw is stripped out of the wood. I broke it the first time I used it. You can buy a better item if you spend a little more.
The wood used in this swift is all solid wood. The umbrella can be quite tall even when collapsed, possibly as tall as a full-sized It would have been nice if there was some kind of storage bag included. It would be better for stability if the clamp for attaching to a counter or ledge was wider, but it works just fine.
I am very satisfied with it. Only issue is I'm having difficulty adjusting the tension to hold the yarn while placing it on the knitting needles. It would be helpful if there was another person here to assist me. There is no difficulty in moving this swift and it is easy to adjust. I have wound many cakes on this swift and it continues to work perfectly!.
In order to eliminate the swift from flying off the table, I have returned to winding by hand until the base can be properly It is too much money to spend on something you cannot use.
Setting up this device couldn't be easier. It's a wood one, so I love it. The sound of the machine makes it possible to wind yarn evenly A beautiful breeze is produced as the spinning takes place.
This is my first one and I love it after trying more modern metal ones and eventually giving up. I love using this product it's simple to use and it works well.
As soon as I received my yarn winder, I was disappointed. It appears that the device does work, but it does not seem to be quite as secure as it should be because an entire row of grommets has been omitted.
