My first attempt to write a review was somewhat critical of the product (which I wasn't even going to return. ). I somehow violated the rules of our "community" and I have no idea why. I suspect it was my mention of the color description that I believe the manufacturer is using. chose the color "light flesh" mainly because it was the cheapest option and it will serve as a backer for some projects, so I can deal with any color that might come up. It looks nothing like the Amazon listing and matches more to the flesh tone of a Simpson's character, as you can see from the photo I took.
Although the photo colors are computer generated, all monitors may show different colors, and this is even more true when the photos aren't even from the actual product, but are from the same photograph and then photo edited, so also subject to the interpretation of the person doing the editing and their monitor. Although the color is still usable, a deeper burgundy color like that shown would have been more appealing. In the color I received, it appears to be a darker version of the dark red color listed, and I cannot see the darker brownish undertone of the burgundy shade shown. This is a nice felt and it doesn't feel.
This appears to be green on camera. In addition to changing the color, the camera also alters the exposure. As you can see in the pictures, the lime felt is muted in person, which was ideal for my project. The pictures show a hunter green kelley green color.
The flesh I ordered (needed for Caucasian skin color) came out yellow. See it in the picture at the top. Anyway, the sticker said light linen, so maybe I ordered the wrong thing. The champagne was medium, so I ordered it. DAMN IT, I GOT THE SAME As you can see in the picture, medium champagne is at the bottom. It says medium champagne on the sticker! As you can see from the photos on the listing, there is a light skin color and a darker skin color. These are simply My yellow felt stash grew! I am working on a project for a bulletin board that has the perfect color. As long as it's the right size, I can cut it to the size I need.
I'm not sure whether to return it. It's not a bad product by any means. If you're doing craft projects that require felt, this would be perfect. I just wanted to use it as a backing for jigsaw puzzles. A folded piece of felt was included. It has been laid out for a couple of days and most of the crinkling has gone.
