In short, yes. This material can be used for an all-in-one face mask because it is thin and can be used to layer (front and back piece).
As seen in the photograph, what you get is what you see. It is made of good materials and has nice colors. In my opinion, if you pick 100 pieces, you will find that each of the 50 pieces is duplicated twice.
It's not that thin where you could see through to another material beneath.

The feel and thickness of the material made me doubt, so I burned the fabric to see what it would be like to burn. 100% cotton when burned won't emit black smoke, won't curl, and will burn to ash gradually. A smoke layer appeared, the fabric curled, and the material melted like polyester did. (don't worry - it also burned extremely fast! For this project, I threw it in the snow to get rid of it). It's a very disappointing experience for me. There are cute patterns on this fabric, but please do not call this 100% cotton since it does not actually contain cotton. A blend is most likely to be the case.
It has a lot of fun patterns, so many fabrics to choose from. Face masks can be made from this material.
There are some nice fabrics in this assortment. There is something for everyone. It would have been nice if I had taken the measurements into account because they're way too small for what I wanted to use them for. ( But it was my fault. The prints are nice they would make great quilting squares. A handwritten note was included with the order as well, which I thought was excellent.
My recommendation is to give it a try!.
I love them. Pleated masks are great for making cute Halloween costumes. In my head I wanted to make a fitted mask pattern, but I couldn't because the squares were too small. Although I am not certain that it is 100% cotton, the material is so soft that I am disposed to think it might not be. A good value for money is that 50 squares are available for $20.
