My guess is that you mean the magnet sheet. It might be that you just had the cutting side down, after all this mat was intended to use to hold your dies and cut your items. Flat side down says you should put the dies on the mat, not the cutting side have all had this experience at some point - I've committed this mistake way more times than I can remember! Past experience has shown that you can still use the mat after it has been damaged with a good tape over the cut. I hope you found this helpful. I have never seen an Evolution die cutting machine, so I am not sure.
It's hard to say. A platform measuring 8 1/2 x 11 is available for the Big Shot? Although I bet you can make it In that case, I would say yes if you already use a magnetic sheet with your Big Shot. Here's hoping this helps you in some way.

This magnetic shim is much better than the one that came with my machine, so I was glad to find it. And I am glad to know I am not alone in ruining their shimer. I like that I have three since I could possibly tear this up again by putting the die in the machine the wrong way!.
Despite the magnetic sheet being very thin, it is still very cumbersome to use. As a replacement for the shim in my Ebosser, I purchased it and it will work perfectly for me. The sheets are too flexible to hold my dies, so I originally thought I could use them to hold my dies.
