I'm not sure, I have a few mandrels, but I believe the one that came with is number one.
Colors are the only thing that separates them; their functions are identical.
Slide your ring onto the tool and tap it with the rubber mallet gently. I've had great luck enlarging 1/2 size, but gold is softer than silver, so proceed with caution. Silver has more substance than gold.
Yes, you can stretch a ring with the ring mandrel tool and the Teflon mallet.

The inside of your ring will be severely scratched by Mandrell because it is not machined smooth. This set piqued my interest because it would allow me to expand the size of my wedding and college rings, which had become too small. If the ring expanding mandrel had been machined smooth, it would have been a relatively simple task. That's not the case. The machining ridges from the lathe could still be seen on it. As a result, if you hammer on your ring, the mandrel will leave ridges and scratches that are easily visible. Your ring will lose its smoothness on the inside. The mandrel, too, did not come with a handle. Furthermore, the hammer is ineffective - It's far too gentle. Very let down. I would not purchase this item again.
This is an excellent set! I'm going to sell some rings, but they need to be sized first. This set is ideal for the task at hand. I was able to figure out the current size of one ring and even increase it. This product is well worth the money, and I would highly recommend it.
This is a fantastic ring key set. My wedding ring, which I hadn't worn in a few years, was repaired. With the ring mandrel and sizer, this is a fantastic set. Also, if you want to buy a ring, the variety of ring sizes eliminates the guesswork.
These are acceptable. The wire rings will be misshapen due to the two flat sides of the marked mandrel. I had to wash the smooth, unmarked one right out of the package because it had a very smelly oily dark brown substance all over it. It still smells strange, like motor oil, but I like using it to straighten out my ring bends - Reshaping is a good idea. The hammer is fantastic!.
It causes damage to my wire, which I despise. I despise everything about it. I'm afraid I'll cut myself if I don't pay attention to the ring sizer's sharp edges. The delicately ribbed tapered mandrel scrapes up the insides of my rings, effectively making it a f***ing FILE. This is complete nonsense, and I can't believe I paid more for it (than cheaper listings) because I mistakenly believed that price equaled quality.
This tool set has significantly increased the number of customized pieces available in My Etsy shop, which is now brimming with one-of-a-kind handcrafted items. ArayahIruDesigns on Etsy is a great place to start. A black permanent marker can be used to write on the second steel mandrel. This is what I used it for when I was finishing or repairing a ring that had a large gemstone that wouldn't slide properly on the pre-set prongs. Because of the mini ridges, this is a marked mandrel.
It's about finding a good price-to-quality ratio. quality. Is this a high-quality set? No. These tools, on the other hand, are adequate for the task at hand. The mallet is most likely the set's least useful tool.
All right, mandrel. The sizer and the sizer are the same thing. The mallet is quite light and does not have enough weight to move a coin ring. To me, it is essentially useless. For small, it might be okay. Material is extremely thin.
