Yes, it is a solid aluminum madrel that can be used to shape brass. Thanks.
Hello, the numbers are a bit of a pain to figure out. Thank you for the sticker, but they are recessed in the middle of the mandrel, so they won't be easily peeled during normal use.
The facade is flat, not curved.
Quarter sizes are available on the Mandrel, but only half and full sizes are available on the ring sizer gauges.

Keep an eye on things. A sticker is stuck to this mandrel. I tried to size a ring with it, but it turned out to be a different size (3/4 size difference) when I put it on a different mandrel. This is no longer a viable option for me. Today was the first time I used it; The metal appears to be of good quality, but if the measurement is incorrect, the purpose is defeated.
This ring sizing rod is made of metal rather than wood, making it more durable. It also includes information on sizing in both standard and metric units. The sizing rings are designed for standard (not thick) rings, so if you're buying a ring with a thick band, go up a half size or so.
We're glad we bought these because we were able to get our ring sizes correct. We wanted to order our rings online, so we tried a few different "cheat methods" to figure out what size rings we needed. We decided to go with this low-cost set instead, just to be safe. We're very happy we did. We were able to determine our proper ring sizes (which was quite different from the other methods we tried)! We ordered our rings and they fit perfectly because we had this set on hand and were able to get accurate sizes.
The ring sizing kit was missing some pieces. It was missing a size 8 ring and had two size 8 1/2 rings. I didn't look for any additional errors in the other sizes because the majority of the sizes I use are in the 7 to 8 range. I also suspect that the sizing tape glued to the mandrel isn't perfectly straight or affixed, because the sizing rings don't always land on their exact markings (for the U. S. ). in any case. Very nice looking, but accuracy is the most important factor, so I'll be back. Updated on February 21, 2017: Following the above return, they graciously offered another set as a replacement at no cost. It arrived in a timely manner, and the ring set was complete. I'm going to use the mandrel, even though it's about 1/4 size smaller than the rings. Thank you for your thoughtful gesture, which came at the right time.
If you've ever wanted to know someone's ring size in advance of a surprise gift, this is the book to get. Now my entire family, relatives, and friends are aware of their ring sizes. It's a relatively low-cost option.
In 2016, I made a purchase. The set arrived in perfect condition. This time, the measurement is incorrect. br>br> Because most buyers are not professionals, the ring sizer maker must be familiar with US jewelry standards and provide specific information. Otherwise, it will provide incorrect measurements, causing additional problems for the bridal party.
Make sure you have everything you need. . . . Two size 7s were included in my package. 5…. Size 7 is missing. Other reviewers had random duplicates, so I ordered a replacement in the hopes of getting a complete set. . . br>I ordered a replacement in the hopes of getting a complete set. . .
- br>Recent changes: There were no missing parts on my replacement. It was also simple to return the one that was defective. I'm going to use the ring Sizer loops instead of the mandrel. br>They are accurate for US sizes. I went to a local professional jeweler to look at a ring I was interested in, and my ring size was exactly as indicated by this tool. br>Please keep in mind that if you want a wider ring, you should size up a half size from the loop measurement. br>For a narrow band (as measured by this tool), my ring finger is a size 5, but for a wider band ring, it's a size 5 1/2.
This statement is incorrect. To make sure of the sizing, I took it to a jeweler, who informed me that it is not the same as the sizing used in jewelry stores. Horrible product with a no-return policy even if it doesn't work. I'm going to throw it away with the garbage.
