Questions & Answers
The positive/" " side of the battery should face the cover. Make certain that the battery cover/cap is securely fastened. Avoid overtightening plastic threads as much as possible. Also, keep in mind that the batteries that came with the unit I bought were of poor quality, and my battery tester said they needed to be replaced. It's worth noting that the on/off switch is small and close to the hinge on the opposite side of the battery port, making it slightly difficult to see without my reading glasses. It's a three-part series. The middle position of the switch is "off," while the other two positions control the corresponding LEDs — one for each lens. Finally, double-check that you're using the right batteries and that they're not dead. AG10 batteries were included in my unit. AG10 Batteries are also known by the following model numbers, according to one website: LR1130, L1131, LR54, 187, 387, 389, 390; LR1130, L1131, LR54; LR1130, L1131, LR54; LR1130, L113 I'm not sure if these numbers are correct, or why the same battery requires so many different numbers! If you don't already have one, I recommend purchasing one. They're useful in situations like yours, where you're not sure if the problem is with the batteries or with the magnifier itself. For $5 on Amazon, you can get one that fits most batteries. I hope that this information has been beneficial.
It's what I use to study plants with. Other programs should be able to use it.
Yes. On the frame, there's a small loop made just for that.

Selected User Reviews For JARLINK 30X 60X Illuminated Jewelers Eye Loupe Magnifier, Foldable Jewelry Magnifier with Bright LED Light for Gems, Jewelry, Coins, Stamps, etc
As a trichome hunter, it was perfect.
It's cheap, it's effective, and it works well. The small LEDs built into the device are actually quite useful. One interesting feature: I can get decent photos of the tricomes if I carefully hold the loop up to the lens on my cell phone camera. As an example, I've included a photo.
Overall, I'm very happy with the result- It has helped me easily view details - with two lenses of different strengths and separate LEDs to light up the object being viewed - and the customer service. On the tiniest of metal cells, for example, lettering indicating battery types. I keep it in my desk drawer because it's such a useful tool. Second, when this Amazon package arrived, I did not find the small metal tool that had been promised - The most important tool for getting into the battery compartment is a screwdriver. When I requested a replacement tool from JARLINK, they quickly responded by sending a complete new loupe set rather than taking the time to locate and ship the tool separately. While I regret incurring this expense on their behalf, I can at least repay them by telling others about my positive experience with their responsiveness.
Plastic makes up the entire JARLINK 30X 60X Illuminated Jewelers Eye Loupe. On the inside of both the 30X and 60X plastic lenses, there were black dots and lint, as well as scratches on the larger lens. I'm not sure how this could be used to examine gemstones. This is of much lower quality than I had anticipated, given the (supposed) original retail price, and I will not be purchasing this item. It was a waste of money. It'll be returned to you.
When I was looking at my ring through the loupe, some of my hair fell over my hand, revealing that I have silver hair! HA! That was also limited to the 30x's: ) It's very nice, but I can't comment on battery life because I've only had it for a few days. I think it's fantastic, especially for the price!.
This is an excellent product. My daughter insisted on keeping the loupe and used it to examine all of our antique jewelry for jeweler's marks and to examine the gems more closely.
It's difficult to use the Jarlink eye loope magnifier. To see anything at all, you must hold the magnifier and jewelry up to your nose, and even then, you can only see one letter or one character of the jeweler's markings at a time. People have mentioned the light in other reviews. What good is a light if you have to hold items up to your nose to see them, and even then you can only see one letter at a time?br>The price is reasonable, but the magnifier is worthless at any price; I'd like to return it, but the hassle of packing and return shipping is not worth it. I'm now stuck with an item that isn't useful to me. br>Online shopping is a hit-or-miss proposition. Make sure items are returnable and whether or not returns are free to avoid getting burned. Then you'll know exactly where you stand before you place your order. br>br>Installation: br>br>Installation: br>br>Installation: It's challenging to use a magnifier. br>Value: br>Value: br>Value: No matter how much you pay, this item is useless. br>Light: If you can't read with your lens, it's a waste of money.
This loupe is exactly what I was looking for as I work in the printing industry. The built-in LED is far superior to the regular loupe in terms of seeing registration marks on the paper. Because there is no direct light on the paper, I usually have to use a flash light to see the marks. The built-in LEDs are sufficient. When I lose this one or it walks away with someone's assistance, I'll buy another one.
