Questions & Answers

What gives me the feeling that there are green reflections in my loupe while in my room there are no green objects?

An anti-reflective coating is applied to the lenses of BelOMO In binoculars, a coating is used to increase the amount of light that You can see the color of the coating when viewed from an angle or along the edges of the loupe. In plain glass, light reflects away from the lens due to the coating, but not with this coating. The lens does not reflect much of the light back, which is responsible for letting almost all of the light reflect from the object being examined reach

The "belomo triplet loupe magnifier with attached lanyard" with the brand logo is currently manufactured in what country?

It is my understanding that they are still produced in Belarus. That information should be included in the listing. On the loupe, it should also mention the country in which it was made. There are probably pictures of that on the product page, but I've not looked for a while. Buying a Belomo loupe is THE BEST decision you can make. There is a very wide field of view for these cameras. While I don't have any affiliation with them, I recommend them to all. It is the only loupe that I use since I am in the minerals and crystals industry (and I am also a miner of gemstones).

If there is anyone else who notices that purple/pink color reflects in a loupe when viewing diamonds, what's the cause?

The BelOMO had some color distortion according to an experienced diamond grader that I had. Although the coating brings more light into the eye, I think it may result in color distortion, although I don't know if it's the effect of light used at the time. As a result, I do have a limited number of 10x loupes that do not have the reflective coating remaining from the early days of BelOMO loupes. Thank you, I appreciate your input - I am Dana

Can you tell me if this comes with a case?

It did not come with a case when I bought it

A decent 10x triplet loupe at an extremely reasonable price
4/5

This is my third one. It's been several years since I have used the first one, but I still have the second. Checking for distortion using the loupe by viewing parallel lines has become a method I use every day. Despite its poor optics, my first shot of the day was the best. However, it has less distortion because of a smaller loupe. In this BelOMO loupe, the parallel lines are converged at the edges of the viewing zone, so the projection is blurred. My other loupe extends the distance between parallel lines at the edges of my viewing area, opposite to what I did with this one. The two distortions both occur when using this BelOMO loupe, but it is the least noticeable. Although, the viewing area appears to have a lesser amount of brightness. If the black of the loupe causes this, then I wonder if that is a contributing factor. The lanyard which is attached to the loupe is differently shaped than that shown in the photo. In the product picture, you can see how the lanyard can be detached completely Unless I remove one of the two screws on the lanyard, there is no way to completely remove the lanyard from it. As you can see in the picture I took, there is a click clip on the lanyard. At the end, there is still a short piece that attaches to the loupe. Based on the picture on the Product page, I would opt for the lanyard associated with that. There is nothing inherently wrong with this, it's just a minor annoyance.

A very high level of optical quality
5/5

There is already a BelOMO 10X and 15X loupe in my possession. In the desert, I examined rocks and minerals with another 10X mounted on a lanyard because I find the lanyard extremely useful while out in the field. The BelOMO loupes provide the best overall optical view of whatever you are looking at, compared to the 15X and 20X. I have used a number of loupes in my life, and the 10X is the most affordable and provides the best overall optical view.

Wearing glasses does not affect the sharpness of the views
5/5

The loupe is great. I'm very satisfied with it. Its outstanding clarity of view while wearing my eyeglasses makes it easy to use when wearing eyeglasses. field of view decreases as you move your eye away from the lens, but retains focus and can still be used even if you are several inches away from the camera. As you can see, I held my iPhone up to the lens to take the attached photo.

Take a hand You can go in any direction you like! Professional geologists and amateur paleontologists alike agree that a good 10x loop is daily wear, and Belomo 10X loops are the only ones you should own
5/5

Belomo makes the best loops, without exception, and you won't find anything When it comes to rock, mineral, and fossil specimen study, Belomo 10X loops provide the field of view, light gathering, and optical clarity you need. Many moons ago, a friend of mine who is an insect paleontologist gave me my first 10X Belomo, and I was blown away at the difference between it and my old loop. In the interim, I've purchased several 10Xs, both for use in the field and in the lab, as gifts for friends and my nephew, as well as several 12Xs and one 15X. I think this is the one you're looking for.

The new hiking accessory I can't live without! My botany class required me to buy it, but now I take it along with me everywhere I go
5/5

The macrocosms of our natural world become infinitely more exciting when you connect with them. This lens can even be used to take macro photos with an iPhone. With a convenient detachable end, this lens is lightweight and clear, with great visual clarity The lanyard piece can be given to a friend who needs it.

This is a much nicer camera The software I use is B&ampB The work environment occasionally allows me to use a 10X loupe
5/5

For my own personal use at home, I bought a BelOMO. There are a lot of advantages over B&Q Because of its larger size, I see it as a benefit not only for the wider field of view, but also because it is more comfortable There is no difference between the image quality of the B&W version and the B&W version A lanyard is an extra feature I appreciate.

This loupe is hands down the best for the money that I have used for the past 15 years
5/5

This loupe is by far the best loupe I have used in my 15+ years as a Gemologist. It has just a tiny bit less optical power than a Zeiss loupe (which costs 4 times as much) and is built very well, the only downside is the trilount starts to loosen up a bit more than expected and falls open, which is disappointing. Loupes like these are not cheap, but the reward is worth it. I recommend this book to both pros and beginners.

WOW! You have no idea what I mean! You will be completely blown away to see what a clear loupe it is when you look through it
5/5

There is no distortion. It is a $7 loupe to throw your money away on if you want to buy The price is $ 10 or $10. 00 If you want to get your money's worth then go ahead, but I use mine with my new KME sharpener, which I think is the best sharpener for the price I sharpen my $400 Takamira knife and I need to see what I am doing clearly.
