Questions & Answers
Metal clay isn't recommended for use, since it sticks to the surface and must be sanded or buff out after application. There is a limit on how hot the metal clay should be before you place it into a blanket, therefore. The blankets are mostly used to prevent a glass tube from cooling too quickly and shattering, though the glass still needs to be annealed so it does not become the case of metal clay, if the clay is still glowing any shade of red, it is still too hot. Burning the blanket and marring the surface are both undesirable results. Moreover, each of these types of metal clays differs slightly in other ways as well.
It is a question I do not know the answer to. The vitrograph glass was annealed in it when it came out of the kiln.
That application may not be right for you. As part of my small kiln firing process, I use it to pack around the doors to prevent heat from escaping. Although it is flameproof, it may need to be replaced frequently because it wears out and becomes brittle as it is exposed to heat. You might be able to do it if you don't bother it.

The fact that this type of heater has slipped the attention of all the manufacturers of those types of heaters (over time and exposure to extreme heat, the controls have malfunctioned and have caused fires) may indicate that their attention has been distracted. A degree of protection was provided by these blankets as they were perfectly cut and able to be wedged between the above mentioned. Obviously, I want to use the blanket in a different way, but it was the best way I could come up with to preserve the life of the heater and make it.
In addition to an annealing oven, you can use this as a substitute. There is no reason I can't afford a larger one at this.
I expected a fiber blanket to be exactly what I got. Pieces should not be too large or too thick, with a 1 inch thickness. I ordered on a Friday afternoon and received it on a Monday afternoon. It was packaged well and arrived very quickly. It's not clear to me how they did it. The fiber blanket shown on their website is less expensive than the one I chose, however, the shipping was more expensive there compared to the free shipping on Amazon, and I chose to order The company Devardi Glass will be receiving my orders again in the future.
My order was delivered as advertised. I was completely satisfied. I like how it's the right size and does what I need it My package arrived in Alaska less than a week after I ordered it.
The propane tank was purchased for building a propane forge, not for bead making. The price of this wool was too high for me, so I chose to get this instead. I was amazed at how well it worked. In order to heat treat a 16", 1/4" thick camp knife I had made, I had to use hot air. The material is capable of holding temperatures of up to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit.
My polymer clay sculptures are baked on this when I use it as a baking tray. I like that it does not alter the shape of clay items or leave a shiny or flat surface such as aluminum foil or paper does. Your help is greatly appreciated!.
Quite simple, really. The only thing to boast about is nothing. I didn't break any glass when cooling off because of this product!.
I've tried MAPP gas and even it starts to melt, even my propane torch starts the fibers balling up and melting, we'll see if it holds up over time.
