Questions & Answers
I'm not sure what you want to do with your life. This will withstand the elements with ease, but no one should come into contact with it. It's similar to fiberglass insulation, but with a lot more stringent requirements.
It's probably a little excessive, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It can withstand high temperatures from a torch without degrading.
This is suitable for any domestic application. It can withstand temperatures of more than 1,000°F.
Between the meat and the fiber, a barrier, such as sheet metal, would be preferable. Otherwise, the meat might pick up dust from the blanket.

This fiber insulation has been purchased twice by me, with a third purchase on the way. This insulation made of fiber is fantastic. For a standard-sized propane forge, I first used fiber insulation to replace crumbling high-temperature cement. The second purchase was for use on a propane forge with a larger capacity. I also used the insulation to keep hot cast iron pans (which were used to hold enameled objects) cool. Also useful for enameled items that take a long time to cool down. Place the object in the cocoon and place it on the ceramic insulation. I also made wells out of insulation blankets, filled them with scrap silver, and used a mapp gas torch to quickly melt the silver into an ingot. I put an insulation blanket on a laboratory hot plate and set the control to medium heat as a precaution. On top of the ceramic hot plate, the fiber insulation kept the heat in. The top of the ceramic hot plate cracked badly, so I don't recommend using it on top of a hot plate. a ceramic top on a hot plate Wow. That thing has really heated up now. Insulation for a forge made of this material is excellent.
It held up under a torch without losing any of its quality. I had no idea such a thing existed. Not at this price point, at any rate. Perfect for my project, and unlike other materials, it didn't scratch my skin. It's a breeze to shape and work with.
So far, it appears to be working. I have a forge with two burners that hasn't been able to burn it up yet.
It needed new insulation, which I needed to replace.
For a home-made aluminum foundry, it worked out perfectly. Keeps the heat in the foundry for a long time.
Large, dense blanket, big enough to make a couple of small kilns out of! The material is of excellent quality. Arrived on time, in good condition, and with a knife that makes cutting this fiber blanket a breeze! I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
