Questions & Answers

How does it smell? Is it a strong rubber scent?

Rubber smells like it but I don't think it's as strong as you might think. If you leave it out in the open, I think the smell will subside within a few hours.

When I tried to stamp my dog tags, I bent them
3/5

PLEASE DO NOT use this block for metal stamping! My dog tags bent after I purchased the metal stamping block, since it did not imprint the letters on them. Get a steel block instead of the rubber one, and do yourself a favor.

The outcome will depend on the situation
3/5

As a saddle pad for my Daytona long reach low profile floor jack, I bought this product. My router bit dug a groove in it to allow it to fit completely inside the saddle of the jack. A brief update The virus didn't last more than In lifting my car, a crack appeared at the groove and then the block started to slide off the saddle, which could have resulted in an unsafe situation if I had let go of the car. In the course of using this product, I realized I was not using the product the way it As a result, my recommendation is not to use it for lifting a car, but since it has been tested to hold 1000 pounds a few times, it should be alright for this purpose at least.

DON'T PLACE OVER A METAL BLOCK -- PUT UNDER IT
5/5

An example of what this is for is to go UNDER a metal block in order to help deafen the noise. The metal will be bent, yes, if you use it to do metal stamping on it.
