Questions & Answers
Despite its sturdy construction, the head of this hammer is made from a soft metal called brass. The hammer will always leave a mark on the face if it is struck against something harder. As this hammer is far from a finishing hammer, it is a reliable tool with the weight to allow you to easily and quickly imprint metal of any type. There are no marks on the face of this hammer that will be detrimental to its effectiveness after all, you will be able to use it for many years to come. The plates I've made are wonderful and I've already imprinted over 150 brass and aluminum disks without degrading the image quality. Don't be afraid to use your hammer and be proud of the marks you make.

Part one of a set of three items I purchased to use to stamp letters and numbers. In addition, a steel plate and punch set completes the kit that is designed to make it easier to mark the keys to a wide range of locks used in a This is the only purpose for which the hammer will be used. The kit has been handled, but I have not had the time to use it in its entirety as I intend to. Since I have an extensive tool collection including often a specialty tool that serves the sole purpose for which it was designed, I was eager to review this little guy. If it does not meet my standards by the time I finish the project, I simply swing back and take another look. It is unlikely that this will be required, however.
However, it appears to be a sturdy and heavy object despite its small size. My first impression of it is that it is easy to use, and I think it will be very useful for me. It has small imperfections on the side of the ball, which I felt was a negative aspect of the product (see pictures). As long as they are shallow, everything will be fine, but if they are deep, it could turn out to be difficult.
I think I will try it again tomorrow. The round end was marked with this on the plastic after it was removed. There was a small window for returns, and I missed it. I'm pissed!.
I'm in love with this hammer! During use, it has worn down to a soft metal. It is so good to have so much weight distribution that I will purchase another one when.
Wasn't expecting that it would turn out to be so nice. I was surprised at how cheap the brass hammer was. The handle fits well in the hand, the epoxy seems really solid, it has a nice weight to it, and it's one of the best hammers for small areas.
My metal stamping projects are a lot easier with this product and I can texturize metal very easily.
My needs and use of this product are perfectly met by the fit, finish, and design. The durability of the device is a matter of estimate at this point, but after a few learning sessions it appears unfazed by anything I do to.
It would be nice to have.
