Diamond testers that will test moissanites and sapphires are so difficult to find, but this is the only one I've purchased that hasn't been Even if it was a moissanite, they kept describing it as a diamond despite me knowing its true nature. You have to use it correctly or it will fail every time. It will not work with colored stones as advertised! You're going to have to accept it, so stop complaining. Compared to other tools I've used, this one is the most accurate. This product works like a charm at trade shows, rummaging, and antique shows. I have double checked its accuracy and it's perfect each time. While looking at stones you wish to purchase, it is a good idea to turn off the voice.
I checked the diamond, and it said, "diamond. ". Having checked the moissnite and diamond, it says "moissanite. " I read the instructions again and tried again" That worked, and I checked both Moissanite. " I checked the diamond again, and it said, "moissanite. " The gem. Whenever I see this tester, I smile. There are many reviews saying this test tests diamonds as moissanite, but they have not read the instructions much to know that they need to be cleaned before testing, just as with any diamond tester, as oils and other substances will mess up the test. The battery door is also terrible. There are five of these that I ordered for my stores, and each and every one of them has fallen off or does not stay on properly. When the battery door is broken or loose, the device cannot be powered up.
I won't be able to offer refunds unless the products I received are defective. There is no way to detect anything other than metal with this machine. When I test on diamonds it shows as sapphire, so I switch to multiple diamonds, no matter what I diamond I test, it shows sapphire, so I detect to bring out Moissanite to test, maybe it'll be right for this one I tested it on Sapphire, but nothing happened.
The Diamond tester worked without a hitch. It has proven to be very reliable, and I've checked all types of jewelry with it, with the exception of one occasion where it came up as Moissanite, probably due to oil seizing on the diamond. A counterfeit item seemed to have been sold to me. Even the newest moulds can be fooled by a cheap tester with this method!.
When I used this tester for the first time, everything appeared to be fine. The app won't accept any stones other than diamonds. I've tried it multiple times since then and it keeps registering have tested it on gold and it still displays "diamond", regardless of how I test it. Even after following the user guide's recommendation to clean the tip and reset the tester, I still cannot get it to It would be nice if it could be returned.
