Questions & Answers

Is it necessary to wait a certain amount of time after putting the drop on the scratch to see whether it is effective?

It takes five days for the process to take place It takes ten You should place acid on the gold marking if it has been scratched. You must not think it is that karat if it disappears immediately. This item is a 10k item if it remains intact upon scratching in 10k acid, and disappears upon scratching in 14k acid. It is recommended that two drops of different karats are used. You can use a steel ball to test silver (sterling), but make sure to mark the item with the mark. It should then be treated with 18k acid. Silver surfaces turn blue when they come into contact with water. In the unlikely event that it doesn't work, Unlike real silver, it is fake.

When I tested the 10k bracelet, it did not dissolve, then I tested the 14K bottle on it and it did not dissolve, then I tested the 18K bracelet, and it did completely dissolve?

A karat that dissolves does not have a high quality. Therefore, your piece is worth ten thousand dollars. It was a problem with the 14k as well. You should be able to tell whether your bracelet is 10k or not. It is going to dissolve at 10k if it does at all.

Is it possible to place gold drops piled on top of each other when testing for gold up to 22k or do you need a separate scratch for each descending ?

If you need to make an ascending drop, it is best to make a separate scratch.

Would you mind explaining to me how these work, for example, what I have to do if I want to test a 14K?

The item you're testing should leave a mark on the stone after you rub it on. Place a drop of the 14k acid on the mark you made on the stone with the test piece. In case the color under the acid remains the same and does not change, this is a 14 k piece of there is no rubbing, or if the rubbing changes color, 14K is not an option

Acts in no way
3/5

My scraps are all stamped gold, can't be scraped off and there's no filler, so I'm sure every piece on it is gold. You can't even magnetize gold because some of the alloy isn't magnetic, and most of it is mixed with our for the most part so its very difficult to magnetize gold, so I know my Gold is real and the test kit is useless and even fails to.

Using money in this manner is a waste
3/5

My original gold meter broke and I was forced to buy this one since I needed a new one. I also buy, refine, The gold pendant I scratched (which was tested at a jeweler and was 10k gold) did not dissolve in any of the acids. If the acid ratios are wrong, the kit is either expired or incorrect. Get a new tester from somewhere else. You should avoid buying from Ebay or Amazon. For over ten minutes, I allowed the 22K acid to rest on the gold to discolor the scratches. The first drop of 22K acid hardly discolored the gold.

My only issue was with the stone, the coating broke down when I tried to test it and rubbed off when I scratched it
5/5

The Customer Service was the best I have ever experienced. When confronted with the issue, I told the seller that I didn't need a new kit since the one I purchased did not have a new cable This scratching stone is made of solid glass. As a result, I received a new kit containing a new batch of acid, something they weren't able to do when the batch in question was defective. have tried out the new set, and it works just fine, including the glass stone as well. If you collect old jewelry or buy anything on eBay, or have old jewelry at home, then this is an excellent kit for you. Please consult P. It saved me over 1200 dollars! I bought a gold bracelet that was 18750 (18k 75% gold), looked authentic, weighed exactly like gold and had an official stamp that said it was The entire thing was a hoax. It was saving me from losing 1200 dollars on a 5 dollar bracelet that this acid test helped me to do. It is thanks to the Seller and this Kit that we are now able to use. It is always a good idea to test your gold and silver before you spend them.

I would not recommend it
3/5

There were so many problems with this. Eventually, the package came last week, after I had waited so long for it. It looks like the black square stone piece is painted on with black paint when I open it. Using acrylic paint, cover the plastic covering with paint. There were several types of black soot on each bottle of solution. In 2 of the bottles, there was a little leakage of the solution. The frustration I feel right now is just too much for me. We recommend that you do not purchase this. The item I would like to decide on is either a refund or a replacement. There’s going to be a long wait for my package to arrive, and I am about to move. It is also possible that the packaging was not the best because I receive the same type of mess.

It did not work with acid
3/5

Upon receipt of the first shipment, two bottles were missing, as they are posted through the Post Office. In the end, I learned that sending acid (or any liquid solution) in an unmarked package through the PO is against the law. There must be a label on it and it must be sealed (it arrived sticky, so it wasn't sealed). There was something wrong with this. It was noted, however, that the seller did indeed send the two bottles that were missing, but told me it It was my first time hearing about liquid packing material, but I made sure to wash the bottles carefully prior to using them. Now that I've tried them out, I'm quite pleased with them. In the end, I found the acid to be spoiled when I used it. Other sterling items that I tested are listed below We got the same result. The acid was old and didn't work, and the cost was high. I do not recommend it.

The best gifts do not have to be expensive
4/5

You can check your jewelry and new finds wherever you go. I THINK SO! I HATED the fact that my husband could not tell for sure if the items he found were gold or if they were some other metal that appeared to be gold. This really works for him and he is over the moon that I bought it for him. He has attempted everything he can get access to and tested it all!.

This is the gold standard
4/5

It would be difficult to write a fair review if there were not enough information about how to test for example how to and so on The color of tested products
If you are able to send a detailed guide as to how to do it (I am not an expert) I would be happy to give you a fair review
Thanks Richard.
