When using any ridged tool in a pinch while waiting for the new ones to arrive. Simply wrap medical or electrical tape around the inside of the pliers once.
Yes, they are all in contact. The set hasn't caused me any problems. My hands are small and fit perfectly in my palms.
In my hands, the handles were a perfect fit. As a result, I'd say 3 inches. They work, but I had to get a larger pair for squeezing the rings back together; the one included in the set just doesn't work for me. They might work better if you have small hands, but I would recommend a larger set if you have large hands.
Yes, you can use the pliers to open and close jump rings. You can also use the round nose pliers to reshape some jump rings.

First and foremost, these were repackaged in such a poor manner. It doesn't bother me that they were previously owned, clearly used, and then returned, because it's not like they were a hygiene product; however, they were simply stuffed back into the damaged old package, with the plastic cover stapled together in random places. And, as if that wasn't bad enough, they were filthy from head to toe with grease and grime! When I removed them from the package to inspect them, my hands were covered in what appeared to be car grease, but I had no idea what it was. ADDITIONALLY, the "needle nose pliers" appeared to be split incorrectly down the center, as one side of the plier was twice as thick as the other and had such a blunt end that I'm not sure how they would've worked. I'm not sure how any of these things worked because I noticed there was some kind of tar in them after taking a closer look at them. ish grease and gunk, I became enraged and threw them in the trash before scrubbing my hands. These were cheap and light-weight, which is fine because they're for jewelry making, but clearly someone bought them thinking they were legitimate tools? I should have taken pictures because this is the first time I've ever purchased something on Amazon. I'm completely let down. There's nothing wrong with items being resold if they've been returned, but for the love of God, make sure they're presentable in terms of packaging and functionality! I could have overlooked the fact that the package had been stapled back together at random, but the tools themselves are in poor condition.
These are ideal for someone like me, who is just starting out. Many people have complained about how dirty they are, but mine are fine; I believe most people are unaware that these items are oiled to prevent rusting. I believe the "dirty" sets that people are upset about are caused by a tiny bit of oil in the hinges, which you can see in my photos. br>br>One set had a couple of small dents in it, which was fine for a beginner like me, but if you're looking for a few to use for projects that you'll be selling, you should probably expect to pay more than $10. br>I put the cutters to the test on 18 gauge wire and they worked perfectly. br>I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this set to anyone who is just starting out.
You get what you pay for, but you'll end up with a shambles. The equipment is adequate, but not exceptional. They're inexpensive, and because I don't use them for long periods of time, I can work with them; however, the barrel tool that you wrap the wire around has a dirty grease (oil, graphite, or something) that gets all over everything. I've wiped them off several times, but there's always more of this stuff, and I'm not patient enough to wait for the grease to go away. I went out and purchased a new pair from a different brand.
These are tiny and difficult to use properly. The snippers aren't very sharp, and they couldn't even cut through the elastic power cord stretch banding, which was only a few inches thick. 08mm! I haven't even attempted to use the other tools because they are too small. I suppose you get what you pay for when you pay a little more than $5. I'd suggest going with a larger, more durable set that will actually work. The only reason I gave it two stars was because the colors were adorable!.
(the purple rounded jewelry pliers) are $24 each. At a well-known craft store, you can get one for 99 cents! I bought this set specifically for those, but I've discovered that the other two pliers are far superior to the ones I already own. These are something I'd recommend to anyone who works in the jewelry industry. Easy to use, durable, and high quality for a fraction of the price of craft store supplies!.
For under $12, you get three tools plus shipping, but you sacrifice a lot in terms of quality. They are, in my opinion, a great deal! Despite the fact that my hands are small, weak, and sensitive, I find these pliers to be extremely easy to use. My goal of repairing one necklace and one bracelet for a mega-event was met. This set comes at a great price, and I highly recommend it.
These aren't the best of the best. They're high-quality tools, but they're also very affordable: the set of three cost me less than $10! They offer good value for money (high quality/price ratio). When the pivots are brand new, dark oil seeps out, so keep a paper towel nearby. But, hey, at the very least, they're lubricated! I'd rather clean up some oil in the beginning than have them lock up after a few uses.
