They might not be the best needles for use, but you pass the stretch cord through the center and gently pull it through. After the cord is at the end of the string, use it to pick up beads or anything else you wish to string. If you wish to use it as a needle, you can apply quick-drying glue, such as gorilla or krazy glue, to the cord's end. A better quality set of needles would be better. The materials used to make these seem to be flimsy and difficult to handle. I wish you good luck in your crafts.

As for the needles, I will be able to use them for other craft projects too. The initial challenge was figuring out how tight to tie the string, but I was able to do it in the end.
