As for this particular item, the reviews on it were too vague, so I decided to take a chance. Yet I believe it is important that anyone looking into this product takes a step back in order to understand exactly what to expect. In the photo you can see how huge the difference in the sizes of the different elastic cords is, and how that matters greatly when you're using larger beads that are more heavy and have a larger hole. Most beads come with a minimum size hole of 1mm, but some, as you can see in the picture, come with a 2mm or 3mm hole There are a lot of beads that I use that are a little closer to 3mm (not including Pandora's style beads since that's a totally different idea), so a thread as thin as the Beadnova cannot hold many beads. Neither doubling the thread, nor putting it in alternate positions as someone suggested, will solve the problem. I believe it is not thicker than half a millimeter. The hole is probably 1mm wide and penetrates two layers. Despite its name, the cord is not actually connected to anything. I usually prestretch the cord, but the end frayed and broke into a hundred tiny strands when I tried to do it. Ok, I'm not 100 percent sure. There is a thin cord or string, but it is not strong. At the time, I thought it must be a fluke that it broke so It turns out I was wrong about that. Pulling on it with tension causes it to fray and snap, snapping your hand less like a rubber band than like a frayed rubber band. Although the description hints that you can use 2, it does not state that you should. Truthfully, I don't have a use for it any longer. The amount of things I purchased was incredible.
It looked like it might work well for Rave Kandi, so I picked it up. Due to the thinness of the elastic, it has broken on me several times.
I made a chip bead and a round bracelet and after wearing the bracelets on and off for a week, the cord was fraying and extremely thin. I pulled one of them off the last time and it disintegrated (beads fell everywhere, *sigh*). While the product itself is sub-par, the order was simple and shipped quickly. Outside of the product value, I would not recommend this product.

I tried this flat one and it worked perfectly! Several others have also commented that it is slightly thicker, so it might not fit through a small hole, but if it works with a larger piece, it should go through okay. If I want to use heavier, heavier glass beads or stone beads, then I will have to use something else to do it. It is fine for use with small beads or light weight plastic beads, but not for use with heavier, heavier beads. I'm okay with it, but I won't be purchasing it.
