Only one, please!
No, I do not believe that is true. The clasp is a substantial piece of jewelry.
That 23 was my lucky number. 6 to 8 inches, depending on the size of your arm and the length of time you want it to drop. It's best to take measurements to ensure that you're getting the right fit.
By clipping some of the chain in the clasp and then connecting the clasp to the handbag, you can make the strap a little shorter. There will be a small extra chain loop, but it will be much shorter. For example, if you need it 8" shorter (on each side), hold the clasp and count up to the tenth loop above the clasp, then insert that tenth loop into the clasp hook, then attach the chain to your bag. It's not particularly noticeable, but it gets the job done.

It's what I'm using to turn my Louis Vuitton Emelie wallet into a chain wallet. I'm 5'2'' and weigh 135 pounds, and it landed right on my hip!.
It doesn't look or feel like a cheap, chintzy thing slapped onto a designer bag because the chain is substantial and attractive. I got the gold, and while the color match with the bag's hardware isn't perfect, I don't think it's noticeable, so it doesn't bother me. When the bag is closed, the clasps are small enough to be hidden beneath the flap. I'm using an Etsy bag organizer with holes for attaching a strap to turn this bag into a crossbody, and the clasps attach easily and stay closed even when the bag is full of heavy items. A conversion kit for this purpose costs around $100 plus shipping, but I spent less than half of that on the Etsy organizer and this chain strap. I'm also considering purchasing the bronze chain to pair with this bag and my LV Speedy25. I purchased the 47" chain, which is the perfect length for a crossbody bag. The bag is slung across my hip (I'm 5'2" tall). I'm thinking of getting the 39" to use as a shoulder bag.
The chain isn't too heavy and has a pleasant feel to it. However, I believe the length is a tad short on me. I'm 5 feet tall, so I assumed that the smaller the person, the smaller the chain would be, but I was mistaken. When I wear it cross body, I like the bag to sit just below my hip, but not too far, so the next size up might have been better. I purchased the chain in order to attach it to the inserter that I intend to use to turn my Gucci Ophidia toiletry bag into a small bag. As you can see in the comparison photo with my Gucci Ophidia wallet, the gold color matches perfectly with the GG. The last photo shows my LV toiletry case in size 26, which I did not purchase for that purpose. I was only trying it out to see how it turned out.
It's difficult for me to wear most crossbody bags because I'm almost 6' tall. The existing strap on my new purse was a few inches too short, so this was a perfect replacement. The only issue is that the gold chain kinks on itself occasionally, but it's an improvement over the original.
For my purse, this is a lovely chain. This is the black gunmetal color that I ordered. I was expecting the links to be larger than they were, but it's a beautiful chain. The picture may be deceiving, but with the chain attached to my purse, you should be able to see that the links are smaller and less pronounced. It's a lovely addition to my Aldo bag, which I also got from Amazon.
This was bought for a metal frame bag I made out of thrift store fabric and a wish-purchased 8" bronze metal frame clasp. It's a nice, sturdy chain with a good, but not excessively heavy, weight. It came in a small plastic zip-top bag and had a few kinks when I pulled it out, but the links are simple to rotate to remove the kinks. I noticed it was leaving a lot of dirt or dark debris on my hands while holding it, so I scrubbed it with dry baking soda and rinsed it off. In comparison to the clasps, which are more of a true bronze, the bronze version's chain link section appears to have a slightly more gold hue. br>br>Overall, I'm giving it four stars because it's lovely and goes well with my bag, but the color contrast between the chain and the clasp isn't ideal. When it was dirty, it appeared to be more bronze, but I don't want to wear a filthy chain. It also leaves a slight metal odor on my hands, which I'm hoping will fade over time.
It's perfect!! It comes highly recommended! I am 4'11" tall and ordered a 39-inch replacement chain. I have a Louis Vuitton Mini Pochette that I would like to use as a crossbody bag. I paid $255 for a replaceable strap from Louis Vuitton, but I returned it because of this lovely and well-made chain strap.
I already own the goldtone, so I purchased this silvertone, as well as the brass and dark gray chains. When you go out to eat, you don't always want to leave your handbag on the table. This chain can be used to secure your handbag to the back of the chair or the bar's hooks. Excellent product at a reasonable cost.
