Can this stamp be applied to a penny with its date printed on it? Would it be possible to surround the year of the penny with ?

This will be the case. There's not much wiggle room to play with, but it will last the whole year if placed correctly. My intention was to use this punch in my cooking.

The blade will it cut thick paper and Bristol board?

There wouldn't be any cutting involved, just a slight indentation.

It's too big even though the quality is nice

What appears to be a high quality metal is used for, what appears to be, the stamp. My only issue is that the stamp is three times too big for the purpose I originally had in mind. In the future, however, I think it will be a great choice for some projects.
