do not have this product, but in general, you should not hit an anvil (or block like this) with your hammer. It happens even if a block has been properly hardened since a hammer is also hardened (it has happened with blacksmith anvils in the past). It is imperative to keep whatever you work on between the hammer and the block so it can absorb the impact energy from the hammer. I do not have this particular product nor do I understand what it is that you want to use it for, but I hope this little bit helps.
This is a solid, solid chunk of steel I like very much.
During shipping, the package is packed in oil to reduce the risk of rust.
The one I have worked with is perfect for hardening jewelry wire pieces. The item is a small, square solid steel object, about the size of Honestly, I'm not sure if it is the right tool for your job, even though I believe it could withstand a sledgehammer. Please accept my sincere thanks for your assistance.

I would rate it as a five star This is an excellent piece of art. It was perfect from start to finish, from the machining to the finish. This is the only negative from the order.
It is smaller than what was advertised.
5 3/4 inch by 5 3/4 inch by 11/16 inch. The size is 6x6x3/4*. Can I still use this? There is no. It is likely that I will buy more in the future. Nevertheless, machined items are supposed to be listed in their absolute size, so it makes no sense to list them in relative size.
A gouge was visible in one of the sides when I received After the first time I used it, it had dents from a chasing hammer while I was hammering dead-soft copper wire. I have since decided to keep it and use it just the other side. As an example, imagine that you hammered 20g dead soft copper wire knowing it wouldn't take so much pressure to flatten it It is not made of hard stainless steel, so I am not sure what it is made of.
This tool is what I use to hammer copper rivets, and it has been very helpful to me. A good size spacious enough to provide a substantial base, yet small enough to make it convenient to maneuver if you're coming at it from In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, a solid rectangle of steel is also very strong and durable. was a heck of a lot heavier than I expected! Since it came with some oil on it, I wiped it off with a paper towel to make sure it wouldn't stain the leather I worked with, but I Mineral oil would probably work also. I use jojoba oil for steel, but you could use mineral oil instead. Despite the fact that this one does not come with its own rubber foot, I have been using a silicone potholder to provide a sturdy, non-slip surface As far as I can tell, that is just as useful as a slip-resistant base.
I can't think of much more to add A perfect cut and a perfect edge distinguish it from the rest. The metal will be marked, but it won't be visible from the outside. Stains can only be cleaned with a sponge that has a slightly abrasive surface Steel is prone to scratching, even though it is metal. There will be oil in it as well, but not as much as usual. Once you've cleaned it, remove the rag from the container, wash your hands, then discard the container. Was there any information on the type of oil Cleaning and some minor scratches might not be a problem, and the paperweight might be worth owning. This is the base I use for a magnetic LED light I have. I never have to worry about my light tipping over because it is so heavy that it If watching on a nice surface, make sure you stick some adhesive pads on the bottom of the screen.
Metal that is polished and has a few spots of rust. When the package was received, its packaging was destroyed. I was lucky that none of the items else fell out of the The attached pictures show the actual weight and dimensions of the items.
There was no rust on the bench block since it was put inside a plastic bag with some machine oil, but you could see what appeared to be light rust stains on both sides It was solely for this reason that the four were given Due to the fact that I am not sure if this will cause any problems, I only gave it a one-star review. By using my 3M Polishing Paper on both sides, I achieved a perfect finish Even though 'stains' have been cleaned up a little, they remain. There were no obvious pits, scratches, etc. on either side. I rubbed machine oil on both sides and moved the machine. Replacing the plastic bag is the best solution. The 2 inch bench block I was previously using was stained, but the two surface work surfaces are still much better than they were. There is no 100% perfect solution, but we are pretty close. It will be no problem for me to work on my metal jewelry pieces. I just wanted to note that This is said to have been made in China in the write up Indian products were made for me. This steel bench was in perfect condition when it arrived. A thin layer of oil coated it, making it shiny and glossy. All the jewelry that I stamp with it have not been damaged or scratched. Metal stamps can be pressed on this die due to its perfect size and weight. There's no need to buy an expensive rubber base, I use an extra thick mouse pad under it to absorb the shock! This item came in an old box, but that didn't matter since it was perfect. I stored it in that same box too.
Here's how. It is free of scratches, dent, chips, and scratches. It has sharp 90 degree corners and no dents. 1. 2. 3. I have not dented this tool with anything, but I am sure you can scratch it if you hit it with a sharp tool or hit it with a point of hardened steel. The order shipped fast, and with amazon prime (free two day shipping), the order arrived in the time frame it stated. Note 5. This is exactly what I wanted for making rings, making knives (from 3ft welding steel bands and a "soup can forge") and whatever else I want to make, I am confident I will use it for a lot more small tasks in the future.
