How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

There are a total of one pound of excellent quality Bright Aluminum jump rings for jewelry making or mail armor making. The diamond on these rings is saw cut with an incredibly accurate jeweler's from Aluminum Alloy 5356, which contains 5% Magnesium and has a significantly brighter finish than regular aluminum, plus it does not oxidize (no blackness is rubbed off). Cleaning and polishing have been completed, so they are now ready for use.
In AR (Aspect Ratio), 6 represents everything around the project.
In both these dimensions there is roughly a 7MM or 21/32 inch (at around 16MM).
There is a 12AWG/14SWG wire or a 2MM wire diameter
We always include extra rings so as not to lose any during the manufacturing process. There are around 1,150 rings in each pound bag.

Questions & Answers

How much do you think an ounce of beeswax would be enough to make a chicken vest?

I am hoping to see some pictures so that I can

How many of these rings would be needed on average to make a square foot of maille that measures 4 feet by 1 foot?

The process takes about 18 to 24 hours The cost of making a square foot of maille was about 1900. In other words, a pound is not quite two

Do you think I could make a bikini top or bra with one of these bags? The costume was for a cosplay event. ?

It wouldn't be enough to have one bag, in my opinion.

Do you think 4 or 6 mm would be better?

It appears that what you are looking for is an 8mm diameter inner diameter and an outer diameter of just over 11mm if that is what you are seeking. 18g 5/32 is what you need for 4mm ID. When reading their descriptions, it's likely they'll list ID and OD both as fractions of a millimeter and in In my purchase of 18g 5, I noted the following. This is my third set of 5mm (7/32) ID and the quality is great.

Seeing myself in chainmail doesn't help but make me feel fierce
5/5

In the past few months, I have been learning chainmail. Orders from Chainmail Joe have been placed several times for me. I always get a quality product at a great price. When they were out of my size link, I emailed them and they made the links available to order very quickly. A new order of black and gold just arrived, and I am looking forward to working with them.

Review of the Ringmail Joe ring and the total time spent on the shirt
5/5

The aluminium rings, especially the shiny ones, are really attractive after you have finished your project with Their open or closed state makes them easy to handle, and they don't leave a messe behind. For use as chainmail shirts in various cosplays, I made a chainmail shirt with these over the last few months, which is pictured in this review, and if you're looking to make something similar, here are the details you're sure to I used 50 bags of these specific rings to make this shirt (so 15,000 rings), and I took my time as a beginner because I couldn't do it myself. After spending 175 hours on the project (I tracked my time). My guide (chainmail101 website) said it would take significantly less time, but if you are a beginner, it will take you about the same time as mine did, since there are some parts that are complex that you would not expect to encounter until you start making it yourself. Almost any pair of pliers will do, but invest in a pair that you are comfortable holding. Be cautious when using one of those jump ring openers/closers from Beadsmith - they work poorly There are ring tools, but they aren't nearly as good as two pairs of pliers
* I am 6' tall and have 44-inch arms* Adding 15,000 rings to 46" shoulder width and a 5 1/2" sleeve length, you get a short-sleeved shirt that goes five fingers long If you choose to hand-wash the shirt, use a bucket and dish soap to clean off any dust and dirt. If you are in a hurry, you can put the shirt in the dishwasher to clean it off any loose burrs and make it shine after you are done. The finished product of the rings is amazing, and it's very satisfying to look at once the project is finished.

These rings are perfect for this kind of project since the end result looks amazing. It is an extremely relaxing process in and of itself to weave the rings. The completion of a project like this is going to take some patience, but don't let that deter However, I haven't used rings from other sellers. Back in 1999, chainmail joe rings were the only rings I used.

The ring is nice Gray dust is not an issue with me
5/5

I am a long-term resident An experienced jewelry mailler and dabbler in small armor pieces who has tried a lot of different products, when I saw these, I was intrigued as there was no gray residue. My project turned out great when I took the risk and ordered a pound of steel for a larger project. The rings *. *. *. I'm doing well- The rings seem to be of the same size, and seem equivalent to rings from other vendors
It is a good balance between hardness and softness it's not as hard to work as steel, but I think they won't wear away like copper does. Because these are alloys and not pure aluminum, I was concerned, but they seem remarkably similar in strength and weight to aluminum. Please note
You don't leave gray residue on my hands and clothing while I am weaving (at least not yet The evidence will have to speak for itself - let's Do not seem to have any visible nicks or scratches near the opening like rings from certain other vendors do all too often these days - They don't have burrs at the cut like other vendors' rings too frequently have these days, and they won't leave flakes of metal on surfaces or clothes like certain other vendors' rings can. The cutting edges are I have not received any rings yet from this other vendor with awkward angled cuts (unlike a number of rings I received from that other vendor recently)
- We arrived safely and in good spirits. It certainly would make sense if that were the case. Whenever possible, I will switch my bright aluminum business from them to Chainmail Joe if I continue to receive this quality of product.

The gauge can be confusing even though the product is good and the price is great
5/5

Since I am new to chainmail, the only thing I would like to mention for anyone else new to it is that these are listed as 16 gauge, but that is SWG, which is actually 14 AWG (gauge). This is clearly stated on the package, but it was confusing to me. The jump rings I am listing could actually be termed 14 gauge jump rings since most other sellers are listing their rings by AWG. As compared to many other jump rings suppliers, the product is very good and the price is excellent. A seller who provides good customer service and quick delivery. The seller is a good seller and I will purchase from them I have attached a picture of the first project I did Using Chainmail Joe's 1/4" 14 AWG jump rings with some anodized 1/4" 16 AWG rings from another seller, this weave is a boxchain weave.

The product is of high quality and offers good value for money
5/5

My purchase turned out to be a perfect fit. I love the ring because it's durable, lightweight and has a good shine to it. My orders arrived promptly, and there was a lot of material for the price. I also appreciated that each seller's package came with information showing their entire selection, including aspect ratios, as well as a handy chart on the back showing which aspect ratios to use for the various Although I was working with a fairly tight weave (not due to the seller but rather a tutorial that did not specify all the details of the materials) the rings held up surprisingly well under fairly heavy pressure or tension.

I love it
5/5

Amazing! I wish I had these when I was younger. Their chainmaille jewelry is absolutely stunning! I have used them for multiple projects and am in awe! Despite the inconsistent brightness and evenness, the rings look great. I found working with them to be very easy. A firm hold is achieved by their tight closure. My high-end pieces stand out beautifully with them, and I think they bring a lot of personality to my middle-of-the-line pieces as well. It would be wise to purchase these!.
