This is a very small item. It's only about a half-inch in length. It turned out to be much smaller than I had anticipated. I expected the clasp to be standard size, but it's much smaller, almost like a miniature version of a regular clasp. This is the item for you if you want something small and delicate. But if you're looking for something more substantial, look elsewhere. Only light necklaces should be worn with it.

That is an excellent question - I put one of them to the test to see how strong it is. They separate with just over 21 ounces (or 595 grams) apart weight (the amount of static weight required to separate the magnets) - This is a measurement taken while standing or sitting. For a heavy omega necklace, I had a customer buy more than one.
I'm not sure, but I believe each package contained only one of these. But there's something about this Magnetic Clasp converter that I really like. It's perfect for making "light necklaces."

I was ecstatic when I first learned that necklaces could have magnetic clasps. Not only do I have arthritis in my hands and fingers, but I've never been able to fasten a necklace because I have very large hands with long fingers that don't end in a rounded point. They've always been strong hands, and they've never stopped me from doing things like needlework, sewing, and other crafts, but I couldn't clasp a necklace on myself! br>When I discovered magnetic clasps, I went crazy and bought myself a ton of Sterling silver chains and pendants! Unfortunately, the magnetic clasps I purchased were not Sterling silver, and they have turned a dark grey, making my necklaces look terrible. I decided to purchase this package of small clasps to see how they would work. When they first arrived, I mistook them for having no clasps on one end, but this was due to the way the three clasps bags were connected. br>I went so far as to start a return on them. Imagine my delight when I went back to look at them online and saw what they were supposed to look like! I then disassembled each bag and examined it more closely. They're just what I was looking for! Sterling silver clasps with strong magnets that are almost as small as the original clasps that come with necklaces. They attach quickly and easily without the need for a magnifying glass, and they are exactly what I was looking for! br>Thank you, Sabrina jewelry, for packaging them so nicely in a box, and for recognizing that when we buy a Sterling silver chain, we also want Sterling silver clasps. br>If you're looking for magnetic clasps, I highly recommend these. Don't waste your money on the others; instead, go with Sterling Silver. They aren't worth your time and money!.
Because my grandmother has trouble with the small clasps on the actual chain, I bought this for a necklace that I was going to give her. It appeared to be an ideal solution at first. The magnets appeared to be strong, and it was simple to attach to the chain I purchased from the jeweler. However, one of the magnets came out of one of the clasp ends as soon as she tried to put it on after receiving the gift. The necklace isn't heavy, and she didn't pull too hard on it; this was probably the third time the magnetic clasps had separated, and it had fallen apart so quickly. That necklace's pendant is not replaceable, and it would have been devastating if she had lost it due to the poor quality of the product. So it's a good thing it fell apart in her hand while she was sitting on the couch, rather than while she was out shopping or something. I had purchased a two-pack, but we are now too concerned to use it. This is NOT the way to go if you have anything valuable.
It's a breeze to fasten chains with this tool! I have large hands that resemble those of my father, but my fingers aren't tapered at the tips. This is the second time I've ordered these magnets. They are fantastic! For years, I've been placing orders for various magnetic closers - However, because they are so heavy, they always end up in the front and look terrible. Because they're made of unknown metals, they irritate my skin even more. I develop a rash that is both unsightly and unpleasant. I attempted to coat them in clear nail polish, but it did not work. These earrings are made of sterling silver and are light in weight but sturdy. I haven't tried them with heavy bead necklaces, but they're worth a shot. These magnets come highly recommended by me. They've been a boon.
Because I have MS, it's nearly impossible for me to clasp a necklace. It's exactly what I needed, and it's extremely durable. I don't know how it would work with something heavier because the necklace I use it for is so light, but I imagine that due to the magnet's strength, it could hold a decent amount of weight.
