My silver melting pan was bought to melt silver. It appears to be just for melting metals, not other types of materials. A hot torch and some borax should be enough to glaze the surface.

The system is reliable once you have a good grasp of how it The temperature controller for this product and the cast masters furnace is poorly designed for some reason

But I think this product has a better controller, and I like this product more. This furnace has been running at 1800 F a couple of times a day for a couple of days, and it has handled the load very well.
